There are more important things than salary if you’re considering joining a startup.
Other factors, like the network you’ll tap into, can have long term benefits that may be way more valuable than compensation.
See all of the other factors here, and get a funny, behind-the-scenes story about how we decided on compensation when we first launched HubSpot.

I'm impressed for the few subscribers your channel has, Dharmesh! Your videos are awesome! Also, I founded 2 companies and used to do something very similar, but in Brazil the difficult is 100x. Both not succeded but today we have a lot of learnigns that many people don't.

Really? Joining a failed startup as the last 6 months of experience isnt a downside? Thanks for the video

It sounds like most of the early employees had very good track records both from university and their professional careers. If they all had 5-10+ years of solid work experience, then, no, 6 months isn’t much of a sunk cost and they would all comfortably find jobs again if the start-up failed.

I’m in the beginning process of my startup, I have the right idea and have it ready to go. Just not sure on how to grow and attract my customer base yet. If I should reach out investors to expand my marketing budget, and how to approach my marketing. The product is fully built and I have a road map for the future for it. But not sure what to prioritize, getting customers/users through marketing or first get investors to help with the cost of it. Any suggestions would be great !
