I loved that when she rehabbed in Detroit she named the streets she was on. I knew a lot of the streets she worked on. I was almost 15 when my Mom remarried & we moved to Ohio. There are times I miss Detroit, but the one I grew up in. I am now 73.

She has always been my favorite in the home renovation genre. I appreciate how she uses everything that can be used, restores things to their former glory, and has very little waste. I love to see historic homes restored, rather than completely changed into a modern style. I wish I had her energy!!!

I wish they would bring her back. I loved watching her shows. She showed rehabbing from top to bottom. She gave out helpful advice and had fun while teaching all of the shows fans what to expect. I also loved how she used as many original items that were in these homes when first built. Plus she is more than able to do a job traditionally dominated by men. Nicole Curtis is missed by all her fans. Please come back soon Nicole.

I loved watching her show simply because she showed the behind the scenes. She didn't act like it was this beautiful, seamless reno, made people like me have courage to take on projects. I hope she has found peace within herself & enjoys all that she can. Family & yourself have to take priority at some time or another.

She captured us with her down to earth, let’s do this and we will make it work attitude. It saddens me that she feels distress about her physical and emotional health. She has brightened, inspired, encouraged and enlightened so many people on the rehab journey . She was kind enough to share her family in a vulnerable way and then felt threatened because she was bringing another life to this world. I sincerely hope that she gets some peace and joy in the coming months in order to live a good life and be a good mom like she’s doing her best to be. We all need a bit of space at times. We miss and appreciate her mission.

She rehabbed a house I had once lived in. I loved meeting her and telling her about the house in the time I lived there. It had been about 50 years ago that I had lived there, she is a nice person, but a real work-a-Holic.

Her show was my absolute favorite rehab show for many of the reasons people have mentioned. LOVED that she kept the CHARACTER of old houses rather than modernizing them. Also loved all of the repurposing she did. Hope she comes back.

I’ve admire Nicole Curtis from the first time I saw her in HGTV. She’s one hell of a woman n lady. I can understand her reasons for having to back away from her show. She’s at a time in her life where she needs to just enjoy life, her children n herself. I loved her shows on HGTV but there comes a time where she needs to take care of Nicole. This video was in the list when I searched 1940s homes. I just bought a 1949, Not on sale, love the lime green and white kitchen but not the 1980s carpet and paint, house. Rehab Addict was really the only home rehab show i followed obsessively. I lived in Minneapolis, MN while she was transforming houses in the Twin Cities. The apartment highrise I lived in was even in one of the outside background shots from one of the rehab homes. I’ve driven past some of her re-creations in the area and they are stunning - especially the regal grand estate she did on Summit Ave. in St. Paul. Her skills know no boundaries! Nicole, all best for a future of health and joy, whatever that entails.

I'm a woman in my forties and enjoyed seeing older homes brought back to their old glory. I feel bad that she felt she had to hide her second baby for fear of being judged. YA KNOW SOMETIMES MY MOTHER HAD TO TAKE US 3 KIDS FOOD SHOPPING 🛒 ON THE BUS AND WE DIDNT GET HOME TILL A BIT LATER THAN I THINK SHE WOULDVE LIKED. BOTTOM LINE IS SHE WAS ABANDONED WITH 3 KIDS AND DID THE JOB OF BOTH PARENTS AND DID AN AMAZING JOB. SHE MADE DECISIONS BASED ON CIRCUMSTANCES AND PRIORITIES FOR US ALL. SHE NEVER ONCE CALLED AND ASKED FOR PERMISSION AND PS MY FATHER WHO WENT ON TO HAVE OTHER CHILDREN NEVER ONCE CALLED TO OFFER HER HELP OR EVEN TO SEE HOW WE WERE. NOT A BIRTHDAY CARD OR CALL NOT CHRISTMAS NOTHING FOR OUR ENTIRE LIVES. WE CAME OUT GREAT BECAUSE OF HER STRENGTH...THAT I COULDNT MATCH WITH 10 CO-PARENTS‼️

Being a single Mom is the hardest job in the world. She was a role model for me, from what I cld see from TV, but realistically, I understand how impossible it must feel to be in her shoes & keep going how she has. She doesn't jus have one kid, now she has two! I'm so glad she is putting herself (her family) first. Parenting a teenager is so hands on too, so I know from experience how much time it takes & how important it is, no matter how much support u have.
