How is it that we can't bring positive change to the world? I agree that we are at a negative right now and trying to go towards 0, but what about bringing positive changes to the environment like medicine for parasitic diseases for animals

Yes, I agree about veganism not being about protecting the animal. It is about negative rights, i.e. I do not infringe upon the animal's right to life. But then the next step is about positive rights, i.e. I help the animal express its subjectivity (its desire for pleasure and avoidance of suffering) independent of whether my action caused it or not. This is the positive change I'm referring to in my 1st comment.

Positivity is a consequence. It doesn't actually exist. Only if pain exists, we remove it and call it positive. That's what 0 is. There is no default positive. That's why the enlightened ones always say never try to fix it. Life is suffering and always will be. Accept it, don't get emotional and stuck and you will be free.
