Nile crocodiles kill and "eat" people all the time. Just watch Nat Geo...crocodiles take down Zebras...while alligators eat ducks! Alligators are afraid of people and non confrontational unless its a mother with a nest nearby while crocs see us as a meal. This is why you have to give props to Steve Irwin!

Thomas beal this 13 footer would easily eat a person and it does happen in Southeast USA. Some species of Crocodile are bigger than Alligators and some are not you can’t just generalize. Nile, Saltwater, American and Mugger all get bigger than Gators but Gators are much bigger than Australian Freshwater Crocodiles for example. Some Gators are 13 plus feet long and easily capable of eating people, deer, pigs etc not just ducks.
