You know how it is Alex, you’d have to have a “certified” scale and weigh her on dry land. There are probably more stipulations to meet to qualify a fish for a state record but absolutely a monster spot bass! My old man has 2 spotted bass mounts from Nick a Jack Lake that are 6.9oz and 6.12oz almost a 7 and there footballs. They were caught back in the late 70’s.

Buddy that definitely was a really nice fish for sure!! I definitely think that you should have went and got a much better scale for sure with the issues I have had with those kinds of scales you had used!! I have seen those kinds of scales at almost every tacklebox that have been at auctions and my better half had gotten for me while she was at auctions!! The couple she got was just over 2lbs different from one another!!

The 6.1 is a Kentucky spot this was an Alabama spotted bass which is the 6.15. The Alabama spots are an invasive.
