For the record, there are those of us (including myself), who came around in Spring/Summer of 2017 and said to ourselves 'I'm going to be a Golden Knights fan, with the understanding that they're going to suck'. There was no bandwagon, and we had every reason not to be fans, but we followed them from the beginning, long before they were anything worth celebrating. And I agree, suffering in sports makes it all the more worth it. My dad, a Philly-Born Eagles fan, can attest to that. That said, this wasn't about a team who had been suffering for years finally rising from the ashes to do something great. This is about of a team of sub-par to lackluster players coming together, and defying expectations when no one said they could. So, I understand your frustration, but, in the same way that a Capitals Stanley cup doesn't happen every year, neither does an expansion team make it to the finals every year. Enjoy it for what it is, understanding that it's nothing that's going to happen for either a while, or perhaps never again.
