I know it may be nitpicking but it genuinely irritates me every time I see KZbin call Premium "Ad-Free" sure, you can just skip past the sponsored ad, which I do anyway, but I thought the whole point of Premium was to be an Uninterrupted, Ad-Free experience. Most of my time spent on KZbin is actually just having the video playing in the background while doing other things, which is why paying for an Uninterrupted experience sounded appealing to me, but the purpose is entirely defeated when I still have to skip ads anyway. Especially since a lot of the channels I watch often have 2 sponsorships in videos now.

Sponsor inserted by creators should be forced to take them down or get banned. I can't fast forward through them on mobile? I even saw item price ads while searching for stuff to watch a few minutes ago. 😡 Those "sponsors" are just cheap excuses. There's always Patreon and other ways of getting funds. There needs to be a class action lawsuit against youtube for taking money for premium and promising ad free then youtube doesn't crack down on the content creators who bury ads and sponsorships in their video, it's criminal, misleading, false advertising and other things. Some people will argue that content creators need to get paid, why? if they aren't happy with the money they make then they should go find a real job. But it is NOT ACCEPTABLE to pay for premium when we still get ads buried in content. It honestly deserves a class action lawsuit against Youtbue.

YTP is my favorite entertainment expense. The ads were driving me nuts, now I don't have to deal with them. The background play and locked phone play and downloads are also great; most of the content I enjoy is fine just for listening. Plus the movies! All the movies that are "free with ads" are free without ads with YTP. My only frustration is that KZbin Music, included, doesn't work well if you're an iPhone user. It doesn't integrate with anything and the UI is horrible. Also can't use it with Alexa. I imagine Android and Google speaker users don't have these issues.

I have recently started seeing ads videos show up in my home page suggested videos. Super annoying and a waste of my screen space. Any way to get those to disappear with a paid premium subscription? I have only seen the ability to turn off or on personalization ads. I will not renew if this can not be fixed, and I will likely abandon YT altogether, and stick with Rumble or similar service. I HATE paying a premium, and still getting screwed over with ads showing up. - If I wanted to know about a product, I would have done a search for it. I do not need or want KZbin offering ads in my home screen feed.

If you watch in "incognito" mode, you get the ads the same as if you weren't paying for premium too. I've done that a couple times just so the site doesn't start making recommendations forever based off a single outlier view.

Most critically, I use it so that the people who I watch get paid fairly for me not viewing those adverts. I want more content on KZbin and fairly compensating creators makes sense.

What happens though once advertisers start bidding higher so then "premium" cost keeps going up or they have a "tier" system so customers have to keep paying more and more to suffer less commercials? Plus how come so many web pages have so many different answers as to how much youtubers get paid on average? Some pages claim $10 to $30 for each 1,000 views while others say "up to" $4 for each 1,000 views? Plus is that profit or merely the channel's revenue, before or after paying google?

Yes, creators usually will share a short time inside the video to tell you that they have a link in the description where you can find a tool, a good, service, etc., that they're using. It's a big time saver if you're interested, otherwise I skip past them. Even after the price increase, I'm very happy the Google hasn't messed anything up.

If you cancel your premium, you will get 2-3 times as many ads as you would being logged out as punishment. This will force you to either pay for premium again or use an alternate account to not be bombarded with ads. My main account is unusable because I gave them my money on that one, and then I had the nerve to stop paying them. Don’t even get it in the first place if you like your account.

Spot on! I have been saying for years that KZbin should stop paying creators anything. If they provide good content, they can get paid subscribers. If they do not, then it is a hobby for them. Go back to the original days of KZbin! Many of the creators think they have a product worthy of getting paid through ads or memberships....Heck, a streaming service with thousands of options is only a couple bucks more than some of these "creators" ask for. They do not get it at all.....They are not creating Netflix quality output, so why should they be getting paid thousands for this? Maybe YT should offer a tiered level? $20 for absolutely zero ads, and block any creator that posts ads, then a $10 level for creator allowed ads, then free with all ads (or similar price structure)

Hey Michael, still enjoy watching your content. Didn't know that creator inserted ads was something people were complaining about. To me, they are just part of the video to help the creator, while the Google inserted ads were what I wanted to pay to remove. Also, as far as I know when watching videos with sponsored ads I've never noticed the actual video stopping to show the ad. The creator simply plugs the sponsor as part of the video. At least that's how I've always seen it, and that doesn't bother. Have you heard, seen different ?

The way you described it is exactly what people don't like. It's the creators who read from a script or whatever to plug something. I was surprised by the number of comments on my KZbin Premium review about it, but there are quite a few -- including one that posted a few minutes before I put up this video. Personally, I just fast-forward through those inserts if they go on too long.

Said it before and I'll say it again, YTP is the literally definition of Google creating a problem and selling a solution. I will NEVER pay for YTP, EVER. Firefox browser (which still supports manifest v2, and therefore all older adblockers) paired with Ublock origin, sponsor block, YT dislike viewer, dark mode extension and free proxy vpn is an absolute dream setup.And before one of you bootlickers jumps up and says it, know that YT existed just fine before the Google buyout without ads. And and far as content creators go, maybe they shouldn't have put themselves in a position to where they rely mostly (if not entirely) on ads to begin with?. Just my take anyway...

Sorry it is not in my best interests to pay for premium. I don't want it nor will I care for it. YTP is just Google making the solution to the problem they caused in the first place. This is up to the creator. I don't see KZbin stopping creator-inserted ads -- they encourage it. And KZbin is cutting ad revenue for many creators (including me), so people have to make money somehow.

If you're on a PC instead of tiny handheld 'device', then you will not see a single KZbin served add on KZbin ever. Assuming you are using Microsoft Edge and have add blocking extensions installed. I have not seen a single one in over 2 years. Average 20 videos watches per day. PC desktop. Edge browser. AdBlock extension (free). Google owns the Chrome browser so I would not think it blocks YT adds very well.

Instead of paying for this scam I just download videos with a 3rd party downloader. I already have over 108 GB and over 1100 videos downloaded to my hard drive in MP4 format for permanent offline viewing and preservation.
