I’m an NP and I’m very happy with my decision with work life balance. I’m a mom and I love to workout. Run not having to be on call. Sleepless nights. I’m grateful to be able to maintain healthy lifestyle. Get enough sleep. Spend time with my kids, my family and friends AND take vacations! You brought up a very important point about hybrid program. I was able to work full time and go to NP school (it’s not gonna be easy) but I graduated with debt free so that’s a big plus.

@@ug8179 nice that’s awesome! Are you glad you went from nurse to NP
@ug81792 ай бұрын
@@JayFriedrichs yes! When I was in my late 20s I thought about PA and MD school too. NP school was frustrating just a lot of theory but after you’re done. There are so many options you can do with it.

@@ug8179 awesome thanks for your insight! I might actually be deferring NP school for now just because it’s not very financially feasible at the moment. But plan to update video soon.

Nice. I was a Surface Force Independent Duty Corpsman. I almost went to PA School. I figured I'd try nursing first and did one semester at Chamberlain then just jumped fields to IT.

I did not like FNP program. Too many nursing leadership classes and not enough medical science. PA s have better medical education.

Man, this video really made me do some reflection if I want to pursue nursing or PA as post undergrad student . Nursing seems like the "safe" route to go but I see myself pursing PA school eventually anyways. I can relate to your interests in wanting to learn the medical model vs the nursing model. But not only that, I love the idea that I get to critically think every day to diagnose, treat, and educate patients about medicine. I will try to keep up with your journey my dude! Wish you all the best :D

I think if you are good at memorization and have no problems or issues with seniority/authority maybe an MD may be for you. You can also study in the Philippines to become a doctor many citizens from other countries become doctors in the Philippines.

Any strategies to passing the license exam 🤷🏽♀️🤔?

It truly is the amalgamation of your studies during nursing school. I would look for effective studying videos from people like Ali abdaal. You have to quiz yourself. Uworld is helpful. Good luck (:
