I used to bake up a can of Spam with cloves and pineapple on it, like an Easter ham. It wasn't greasy at all. Those hash browns looked fantastic! Never had them with that quality.

Can't say that I've ever had spam myself even though it's all over the place here. My German buddy's family introduced me to scrapple (which is fairly regional and common amongst the Amish/Pennsylvania Dutch) years ago and I'll stick to that. Sliced thin and fried crispy in a pan...can't beat it.
