I think it's the best development ever (next to ELRS) for FPV. I also hope those smart guys who developed WTFOS use their know-how to produce a non-DJI digital system and profit from it (if it's worth their time/investment of course), because DJI does not deserve to be rewarded in extra sales for improvements they refused to make.

You can now record the OSD info on the sd card and overlay it when you play the video back. It's still a work in progress, but it's working.

I hope, now that you are also using WTFOS, in INAV 6 it will increase a little bit the grid size and solve the issues with ghost characters.

The WTFOS team deserve our appreciation for the significant effort they put into making this such a polished experience with all the tooling necessary to make it accessible to everyone. As you say, no CLI needed. It just works. It also apparently doesn't burn any bridges with DJI updates, which makes the whole process feel low risk.

I cannot update my Air unit in DJI Assistant 2. Is this caused by the root? And I also rooted goggles on firmware 0606 , but air unit on 0607 ,is it why my OSD does not work?

Well... I don't know what is the best development in FPV lately, but there are a few that are definitely great! 4 or 5. If you have unofficial version 6 then choose MSP Displyport instead

Honestly: Donate the WTFOS-Team! The OSD is such an effort - i don't want to miss it. RSSI, LQ works perfect without any hassle or additional prg.

No CLI at all is not true. You have to configure the MSP display at least on betaflight FCs. But yes, it is simple 👍

I'm testing it for a few months. Right now we got OSDdata recording in dvr. But you need to render both files. Allso we have fake HD grid for osd with new color fonts 👍. Right now this is the best goggles 🤣😁

you store font for all FC with correct suffix and goggles handle autodetection and display correct one

Too bad that everyone is so hyped that no one wants to see the problems, the OSD has at least 3 sec delays and you can not position elements on the edge, plus every font is pixelated, I undid it.

You need the correct fonts installed and I have a build of iNav that puts the elements all the way to the edge (it will be included in iNav 6)

You get all the osd elements, not just the few that DJI decided on. This includes all the flight controller menus.

There is even a default legacy mode built into the WTFOS firmware. Just hold down goggles reset on power-on. (see docs for details)

@@maxun1 Hey, so i have installed and configured the wtfOS and it works fine with iNav 6.0 beta. but when going back to DJI FPV i get 'goggles version out of date, need to connect to fly application and update them', actually they are 0606, as i upgraded just before the wtfOS. any fix for this ? thank you

Have updated most of my quads to use WTFOS. Last one just needs BetaFlight settings changed. I also turned on Fake HD setting which makes the font size closer to the size of the DJI OSD elements and allows you to push the elementa all the way to both edges of the screen. Like that cell voltage has one more decimal place and like that OSD profiles now work so I can cram a bunch of items on the screen but can hide them with a flip of a switch.
