Let me Know if you Think The Elder Scrolls 6 will be a RPG Masterpiece or a Buggy Mess That will Require the Moding Community to Fix? 🤔
@WalkingLegacy19 күн бұрын
Creation Engine isn't a problem we think it is. Short sighted articles like this are going to get all games put on the POS unreal engine. We should not want all games on UE. That game looks very pretty and brings a whole host of other problems. Starfield is crap because it is five steps back FROM Skyrim. Starfield feels more dead than FO76 somehow. The real issue is that Bethesda is, and always has been, too corporate. It is even worse with Microsoft in the picture now. The creation engine is fantastic. Look at what modders do with ZERO budget. All we need to do is pressure Bethesda and Microsoft by holding them accountable to fix the creation engine. Anything less will give us a subpar product and likely no mods. Additionally, new bethesda is going to spend crucial resources (money and time) on DEI and queer elements. If I was everyone, I would be extremely cautious with ES6 and it has nothing to do with the Creation Engine.

I agree, Starfield had a horrible story. It was written bad and that can not be blamed on the creation engine.
@samuraichicken231516 күн бұрын
I'd say Creation Engine isn't the only problem but it is one of them. Starfield didn't need to have the best graphics but when they look like they're from a game in the 2010s, it does affect immersion. If Bethesda build a proper Creation Engine 2.0 instead of the slapping a layer of paint on top of the last iteration, we could have a good game.
@AegisGamer16 күн бұрын
great comment, you do have a point with UE5, it is a worry that more games are going to be made on UE5, they will look or function in a similar way and contain the same bugs. Starfield does seem more dead then 76, I still cant work out how they managed to do that lol
@WalkingLegacy16 күн бұрын
@@samuraichicken2315 That's not the Creation Engine. That's lack of effort and creativity by Bethesda. Look at the modlists for Skyrim called LoreRim 3.0 and Nolvus 6. They make Skyrim look like it released in 2024. Again, Creation Engine is not the problem. Don't be psyop'd into that rhetoric. It has issues that can be fixed, yes. But the Creation Engine is the best modding engine out there. It's pro-Gamer.

The biggest concern I have with Bethesda rn is that they'll c&d Skyblivion before putting out their crappy Oblivion remake themselves which can only be worse than Skyblivion will be.

that is a major concern, the fans would probably go after Bethesda if they did that

When the new Elder Scrolls game comes out people will say it sucks and wish it was as good as Starfield. We have been living in this same loop since Morrowind.
@AegisGamer16 күн бұрын
You maybe on to something here, when i first play skyrim I thought it looked better but took away what I like about oblivion
@Khalifrio15 күн бұрын
The problem is each game since Morrowind has seen key parts of the game removed. In short Skyrim is much more simplified/dumbed down than Morrowind. You can no longer build your own stats. Skills are not as numerous. You can no longer make your own spells or enchantments. Your choices don't make much of a difference as they did in earlier games. And so on.

As long as the lead writer brings his a game and leaves his ego at the door, which I doubt that he can the story should be at least as good as Skyrim

I don't think we should have any illusions about TES6. Bethesda is who they are. Using the same engine as starfield just shows how lazy and low quality the studio has become. It will be crap, have bugs, and of course they will rely on modders. They've been doing this for more than a decade now, money speaks louder. Why bother making a good polished game, when people are just going to buy it regardless, and modders will fix it... This game is bethesda's last hope and I doubt they care as much as we do
@DemonCoreGaming17 күн бұрын
Cant blame it on the age of creation engine which is modified version of gamebryo. Gamebryo was origionally released in 1997, Unreal engine came out in 1998. Ive seen modders do things that bethesda are having issues implamenting. There are issues as with all game engines but as any eninge they could all be fixed. If they put the tie into it.
@AegisGamer16 күн бұрын
as long as they update the creation engine to a modern standard it should work out, starfield did look really good and TES6 should look better, I think the creation engine is great for modding, if they improve that aspect it will be good

Im really trying to stay optimistic too. I hope they include Hammerfell & High Rock in the base game. It would be awesome if they would try to include as many countries as they can for dlcs as an example. I just think we need something big like this, especially since this might be Todd's last Elder Scrolls game. It would be cool to see ESO Styled expansions for the game, for extended support if they are looking to support this game for 10+ years.

Every game has some kind of flaw, Fallout 4 is extremely far from being a bad game, much on the contrary, really. Saying Fallout 4 gets criticism for an underwhelming story ark makes no sense at all. Repetitive gameplay is something very common, even for example in BG3 where basically every choice matters, but still, there is a lot of repetition no matter what, so this about games looking to be less repetitive is pretty new and makes no sense to ask Fallout 4 to be something like BG3. Bethesta engine is clunky, I'll give you that, but if the new Elder Scrolls give me some of the feeling that Skyrim or Fallout 4 did I will be extremely happy no matter what.
@AegisGamer16 күн бұрын
if I also get some of the feeling out of TES6 that I got out of Skyrim or Oblivion I would be pretty happy, Fallout 4 was good but modders made it truly great, thanks to mods iv put over 2000 hours into fallout 4, I guess what i was trying to get at was that if the majority of gamers who play TES6 vastly enjoy there experience and are happy with the game then its a win, my worry is that TES6 might end up like starfield, time will tell

So it’s not really the engine it’s the development teams inability to use it that’s why someone could use the engine on star field to make a mod that cut the shaders used in half while improving the graphics and improving the game’s ability run smoothly. So really Bethesda needs too start looking at there best Skyrim moders and consider hiring them and replacing some of there under preforming employees.

If the story are lore are good, we will accept the janky tech, think oblivion. If the story and lore aren't good, the jank becomes another nail in the coffin, think starfield. The single biggest problem is the gap between ES5 and ES6. There's too much expectation now while the company changed too much. The fans haven't really changed, we know what we want, think fallout london.

What does repetitive gameplay and the story have to do with the Creation Engine? The Technical issues I get but the bread and butter of a good game is purely up to the imagination of those making it. Bethesda will release the game as a buggy mess, but it's always been fine. People enjoy a good game, even with bugs. I am sure they will fail to release anything new though, Elder Scrolls is a good franchise, and the story may have similar tropes (Waking up as a prisoner) but the real heart of the matter is if they can deliver a truly different experience than the rest.
