Of course it was too late, since he he did during his death, but she did kiss him and told him that she was willing to burn herself during his supernova (it’s when he was literally just burning up like a dying sun). Escanor and Ban are by far my two most favorite anime characters. Yeah, Rider is the big huggable lug that we all want, but Ban's unending love for his friends and Escanor's constant push towards keeping his friends safe is truly heartwarming. Like think about it. On multiple occasions, DAY form Escanor makes the decision to isolate himself so that he wouldn't hurt others. He's not some cocky asshole who doesn't care about those around him, in fact he cares a lot. After beating Estarosa, he directly mentions wanting to go help the others, but realizes that he will do more harm than good and chooses to stay put. Ban's in a similar spot. It is obvious that he loves Elaine, but his love for Meliodas, Jericho, and Hawk shows constantly. The fact that he goes through an entire ark of being depressed over trying to kill Meliodas is so good, even if it is narratively jarring. He put his love for Elaine over Meliodas, and that didn't sit well with him. I love this show and I love that you put so much effort into promoting and talking about it!

Dude, Escanor's my favourite, not only is the guy smooth as silk when it comes to poems, but his character is more complex than everyone thinks, by night, he lacks any self-esteem, but is openly madly in love with Merlin, as he doesn't have the courage to approach her, but idolised her to the point where she was his sun, and from that love, Escanor turned into the Lord of Flex in the night, with combat power to surpass Galland, and Sacred Treasure release to surpass Estarossa. And by day, he still can't speak to Merlin, but is more confident around her, and even lacks the pride in day form to speak to her, in season 3, the dude was about to speak to her to comfort her, but ended up leaving because he lacked the courage. Dude the Lord of Romance and Flex, he's the Lord of...Roflex!

I only watched half of this video when it came out, cause I didn't want the manga spoilers. I'm coming back to finish now that I've caught up with the anime, but even just that initial half, I have to give you all the thanks in the world, Nux. I didn't understand Escanor at first, and that first half of the video alone showed me so much. I'll forever idolize and respect Escanor for the man he truly is, and value him, and you, for helping to see myself and grow as a person. We should all strive to stand in the sun. Not the literal one, but the light of our friends who love us so, and the light that comes from within. We are worth it, and I've lost all doubt of that now. All because of "All Bright", you, and the family I found for myself. 💜🌞
