The only good part of this game and it's highlight for me is when you have to backtrack to the subway station after turning on the power plant, and you have that one, that one single almost unscripted chase sequence with nemesis, one thing that they nailed in this single chase sequence is the feeling of iminent dread when you hear him sprinting at you full speed, i was genuinely scared the first time it happened. If they made the city section more open, and let nemesis actually randomly chase you around, like in this one chase sequence, regardeless of if the game was still short, i would absolutely love it. Oh and fuck achievements in this game, 100% re2 was far easier then getting a single achievement in 3 remake

I think the reason why Jill was like she is right now because she and Claire has pretty much the same personality so they changed her image in the video remake. I like her right now but I agree the cussing is too much. Nemesis was scary in the demo because I thought it was gonna be like that the whole game but sadly it wasn't.

I have a very strong theory that after the disappointment of Nemesis in RE3R, Behavior made the Resident Evil chapter for Dead By Daylight to completely redeem the character. Like seriously, tell me going up against an undetectable Nemesis is not the scariest thing in the game

They definitely got Jill wrong in this remake. Like, how is she different from Claire? Characters are important. Jill is supposed to be level headed, intelligent, a more intellectual character. She thinks things through. I always likened Jill to Scully from X Files. Claire is supposed to be the "tough chick", Jill is the "strong woman". Its a nuance, I guess.

Jill also was very kind hearted in the original game. She was compassionate and willing to help others, yet will kick your ass if you tip her off. I just hate how remake made her like modern Lara Croft and devoid of all fun

I also really enjoyed Nicholai's character! The performance by Neil Newbon was great, and he was just a really silly guy/secondary villain for the entire story.

The game was genuinely scary and fun, Nemesis was still absolutely terrifying for me, and sure it was short but not super short for basic gamers. Also there was an extra kendo bit in the re2 remake the ghost survivors situation had him escaping through the sewers if I remember correctly. The nostalgia is what killed the game, it fell short of expectations so the old fans just decided it was an abomination but it really is fun

I agree with your sentiment that RE3 remake isn't the best. As a fellow RE fan, i adore a lot of the games, especially the modern remake trilogy. But 3 is where it dips down imo. As for the gameplay, i absolutely love the graphics and core gameplay loop. Except for the dodge roll. I feel that aspect of the game trivializes the already short experience by making it easier when the mechanic is mastered. Overall, I see it as more of the game i love, but essentially just dlc to the RE2 remake. I got it when it was on a big sale, so i didnt lose much buying it. It is a lot shorter than the other games so its nice as a bite size RE experience for repeat playthroughs/ speed running. In the end, RE3 is alright for me

I liked the remake maybe its because I'm not a die hard RE fan and I don't really remember the OGs on PS1 so it I wasn't playing them comparing it to the OG

I thought it was okay. Like 6/10. I definitely prefer the original RE3. It's unfortunate tbh because I honestly think the remakes for 1, 2 and 4 are superior to their original counterparts. RE3 could have been the same if so much original content wasn't cut (clocktower, park, replacing the waste facility with NEST, etc).

Nah 3 Remake is still pretty good. It’s just not great like 2 and 4 Remake. The actual biggest fumble was Re6. I still wouldn’t call it a bad game but Capcom turned its survival horror franchise into a call of duty clone fully and genuinely wanted to go in that direction before the reception gave them a reality check.

Man RE3R genuinely disappointed me when it came out I used to see gameplay of the original and it terrified me as a kid and when the remake came out I was super excited after how great RER was but this game was so disappointing so much cut content and nemesis was an absolute joke in the remake compared to the original and Jill was off in the remake as well and Raccoon City was so small I felt like in RE2R I saw more of Raccoon City than in the game where Raccoon City was your playground also Jill Sandwich

They need to go back to the beginning way change something that wasn't broken like how they made RE games go back to Racoon City days and make all the new ones just like the original ones 1,2,3 originals and RE2 remake go back to Zombies and Zombie Monsters 👍all the new shit who the FuK came up with the idea that werewolves and vampires would be good for Resident evil 😢 no it's a Zombies and Zombie Monster game not FuKin Van Helsing 😢
