These are great tips for high-end collectibles and pervasive logic, but hearing and applying them are different! Great video! Personally, I don't collect high-end figures and don't ever plan to. I have some really cool black series figures, and that's enough for me as an art piece. But on collecting, I've realized I have too many hobbies and need to narrow them down to just two. So, that's what I'm doing. There's too much for the average person to focus on regarding time, money, and energy. I want to focus on a point you mentioned in your previous videos: having a focal point. That means collecting old vintage cards and reading Star Wars EU books. That's what I want to do and enjoy my time on. I aim to cut out anything else I consider a pastime hobby.

@@nebulavoyager21 Thank you! And ultimately it doesn’t matter what we collect, as it’s all very similar. The only difference being the amount of money we spend on collectibles. I don’t look at any one thing as better/worse than the other. I respect anyone who collects. And I agree, having multiple hobbies can take away from the ones you really enjoy. As for myself, I too only really spend money on books and these figures/adjacent things such as customizations for said figures; CCFL sabers, custom capes, etc. I think I have a pretty decent handle on my current collecting desires. Of course it’s easy to want more, but I try to stay humble and appreciate what I do have, as it truly is a blessing to be able to collect anything one doesn’t really need.

You're absolutely right that it's a blessing to collect anything beyond necessities, and staying humble is so important. I love how you focus on figures and customizations. It's such a cool way to make your collection unique! Cutting back on hobbies has helped me a lot too. It’s made it easier to focus on what I really enjoy instead of trying to do too much. Definitely great advice. I fell into the trap of trying to be a completist but after a year of collecting I am taking a step back and choosing carefully now

@@ValkyrieMagnus-fh8yk It really is tempting for sure. I remember when i was wanting to collect The Bad Batch and I picked up Echo cheap and then saw the steadily rising price of Crosshair 😂 I gave up on that real quick.

Yeah, when I first started, I made the bargin bin mistake. Wish I kept the money for figures I really wanted later.

@@daren2501 My first few figures were from Sideshow on discount: CW Anakin, Maul, Ahsoka and now they sell for even less than that. It’s sad seeing figures go for dirt cheap in a way but maybe things will be changing in the future.

@@DarthTamarus Me too! I was almost tempted to buy an ANH Sandtrooper the other day because it was so cheap, (well.. cheap for a Sandtrooper anyway!) The mad thing is, even the fact that I already own that particular figure didn't stop my finger hovering over the 'Buy Now' tab! 😂😂

@@TheRowlandstone73 I’ve still yet to acquire a pair of the P1/P2 shinys, but as of now i only have the two 501st clones. Don’t really have an affinity for Stormtroopers but then again, I grew up on the prequels 😂

I think you have to set yourself some rules. My rules are only Star Wars first 6 movies and not more than 60 figures in my collection it is the sweet spot for me as I have a vision how I want my collection to be. Broke my rules so far only for Savage and DX32 Joker. Passed on a lot of dope stuff.
