The Biggest Hypocrite in Poker Tanks for 24 Minutes

Nik Airball. A super high stakes poker player, well known for being loud and proud and a guy who very much so encourages fast and fun play, was just caught in his own hypocrisy by tanking for about 24 minutes in a SINGLE hand.
This should be illegal. Especially considering he did not hesitate to call out Mariano, the well known poker vlogger, just a few weeks ago for tanking for only about 3 minutes in comparison.

Sat next to Nik at the Aria twice during some 5/10 games. The smell coming from him was something like I’ve never smelt before. Almost as if he had never showered or wiped his ass. The first time i let it slide but the 2nd time i had to call the floor over. Nothing they could do as it wasnt in any of their by-laws to wear deodorant or wash your ass before sitting at the felt. Needless to say i just played one orbit and decided to play at the Bellagio instead!

Talking about hand strength in a multi-way pot is absolutely not allowed!!! Imagine if Tesla was bluffing and he's listening to Airball say he has the straight, so then Tesla tries to say things to make Airball fold and Airball ends up calling. That would obviously be unfair to the 3rd player who now chops the pot instead of winning it if Airball folds. Total amateur hour at most card rooms including all the Texas ones

The casino I was playing at didn't allow you to call the clock in a cash game and it caused the whole table to be up in arms when a player was still tanking after being put all-in 10 mins ago. The only reason the casino called the clock after 15 mins was when all the players including me had threatened to break up the game.

Floor was once called on me after somebody tanked for 7 mins in Reno. The lady who called the floor said I was giving away info while not in the hand when all I said was “you either got a playable hand here or you don’t, it’s 1/3 and there’s not even an all in. Play or fold.” The floor put a timer on the guy and told the lady I wasn’t out of line.

I would rather have one player tanking once for 25 min than every hand. He always plays fast. He actually made good fold which is quite impressive. You act like you have gotcha you moment, for tanking once. I bet many pros used a lot of time on some decisions(let's say 3 times 10 min decision) and they play much slower than airball. I am just trying to be real. I am not fan of airball he can be so obnoxious sometimes, just keeping it real. I would play against him rather than bots like Ike Haxton and that type of player.

Although it seems a little hypocritical, the complexity between Mariano’s hand with KK and Nik’s hand are no where close. Nik’s hand is super confusing and interesting, and just bashing him for tanking without explaining or analyzing the hand beyond of what a surface level beginner player could do, isn’t informative and cultivates negativity. Airball is right when he says he usually acts fast. On top of this, you cherry-picked one clip of him taking a “long time,” when in reality he acts faster than like 90% of players. There is a reason no one at the table called clock. This is just a bad take.

The table allowed/gave Nik enough time to fold this. If a clock was called on him, even at 10 minute mark, guaranteed he would have thrown a chip in to call. He had a 650k stack, and it was only 125k relative to his stack. Hes made worse calls in the past. 24 minutes to make a decision is insane regardless if hes the size of a whale or not.

Stache does NOT have the 2nd nut straight on the turn and you called the board the flop after the turn card was out. Correct terminology would be "Tesla 3 bet on the turn". If Airhead cant fold to that river bet within 2 mins he shouldn't be playing this game. He needs a heart on the river and a heart only. Tesla told him what he had with his turn bet. Tesla is NOT bluffing into 2 players on that board without a minimum of 84 and most likely 89.

I believe that you should set a time limit that is as long as the player needs to think about all relevant factors and come to a rational decision. Sure, you can allow another 1-2 minutes for irrelevant, emotional wavering, but that's it. You need to make a decision now. If someone is just stalling and nothing is going on in their brain anymore, that shouldn't be allowed.
