The BIGGEST Map in Skater XL (It's Amazing)

Today we check out 'Albuquerque' by TheVan and Brookzee. This map is literally the biggest map you can make in Unity before colliders stop working, making it the number 1 map in terms of size. Unfortunately the map was never quiet finished, but there are more then enough spots here to keep you busy for hours on end.

I actually live in Albuquerque and it's really cool because those ditches are EVERYWHERE all throughout the city. I use one by my house and it takes me straight to the skatepark, cuts through the whole city 15 minutes of just downhill cruising.

Yea thinking back.. I maybe should’ve put the $600 from my series X and $800 for my PS5 (no not from a scalper, from Costco the GOW bundle) towards a PC. But then again, at least we don’t gotta deal with hackers really on console. There’s cheaters that use K+M with that thing that makes it register as a console. But then again the platforms support it so I don’t know if it’s cheating.

Man this map looks incredible. Haven't jumped on XL since Session dropped but I might have to change that. 100% make a follow up video playing on the beta to take advantage of the wallrides and transition, this was so much fun to watch. I actually love banks that aren't splined, super fun to try powerslide combinations to do 'fake' grinds. I made an entire edit in the Easy Day High ditch doing it.

Even though I'm stuck playing console skater XL, I loved this video because this is what goal oriented gameplay looks like. You gotta work for it. Yes, I understand that is the major differentiator between session and and XL, where session is more centered around the struggle. XL offers more flow to decompress from the struggle. The struggle is mainly about making the trick look good in XL. I'm predominately a tech fan, but over the years, style has become what's most appreciated to me. You have more of a say in how the trick looks in XL. Session's bouncy drooping grind animation is hard to overlook. The lack of fluid control of how to affect the look/style of tricks are is really my deal breaker.

Hey Shawn just wondering how you can play this game so much and not feel burnt out I’ve been playing the game probably for as long as you have but lately the game just feels weird like i can barely do the stuff i used to so i went and downloaded your boned, fro and stats settings because i see you having so much fun with the game so much years later especially with the lack of updates for 2 years any tips on how to feel fresh on the game? Take a break if you need to dude! I felt that way for a long time, took me around 3 months to break out of that but I came back feelin fresh after playing some other games for a while. Remaking all of your stats from scratch and downloading some fresh gear is a good way to get excited about it again too.
