Sending what harder? It comes down to what specific areas of surfing your talking about. Nate has chosen to concentrate on big wave surfing, John has pursued competitive surfing, and Jaime has honed his skills as one of the best ever at Pipeline (he just won his second Wave of the Winter award). In addition, Jaime surfs a lot of other crazy stuff--check-out his July 4th footage at the Wedge or a year ago going full bore on giant Waimea shorebreak. To listen to each of them talk they all have a ton of respect for each other, so I would call it about even in the 'sending it' category.

Russo footy...classic! Groms turned Gladiator's. Yeeears ago, I remember taking Nathan & Jon Jon (mom was extremely thankful) to a South Shore Waikiki swell. We all jumped in the water @ China Walls. As I took my time and finally made it out to the lineup I looked around for the boys, caught a few waves and looked around some more and came to the realization that I completely lost Nathan and Jon Jon. I thought the worst. What am I going to tell their mother? Sorry I lost your kids. To say the least I panicked. I caught a wave in and waited as I watched people leaving the water asking; "if they had seen the two" (who's names we're already known by the public eye). I thought to myself; great I'm going to be the dude known as losing Nathan and Jon Jon Florence at a weak South Shore spot. As I left the beach and walk back to my vehicle I saw John John and Nathan walking towards me and yelling; "where were you!?!... a Japanese restaurant owner treated to a sushi and all you could eat lunch!" My reply was complete bewilderement 🤔 🥴. None-the-less I was stoked to have retrieved the boys and return them back to their mother. They deserve the sushi abduction and yes the Ben & Jerry's BIG 🌊 rider ice cream too...das rai N.S. boyz... Make unko proud! Aloha! & Mahalo Ke Akua!
