I was lucky enough to participate in a team game with Irina (following after the Kasparov - World game) and she was just so easy-going and charming, as well as VERY good at chess.

Yes. Napoleon"s best known quote: "Never interrupt an enemy when he is in the process of destroying himself." Conspicuous by its absence is an intriguing general one, which I have committed on several occasions: Kh2 in the middle-game. Of course, I always had a reason for such a move, but.... My opponent wants to get his pieces closer to my King, but must advance them one at a time. Brave King-up brings ALL of his pieces closer at a single stroke! (I think I can hear a sound, like a distant car honking, but it must be Napoleon laughing...)

Oh ya, I almost forgot... Manish Singh"s observation (below) is insightful, so here is a video idea: An Irina Krush blitz round, like on one of those old TV game shows. Position comes up, she says RxR, good or bad, and why? Next, next, next...

Thank you for your simple and concise instruction using actual examples. Very helpful. Many of the other channels, I believe, intend to give concrete instructions but they unfortunately become abstract and theoretical very quickly. Thanks again.

Your chess instruction is invaluable. Your focus on piece activity has brought together for me a unifying concept that makes sense of positional play, which used to be a mystifying mix of principles. Thank you, GM Krush.

So great and valuable that I can see why other channels don't really talk about it as it feels like free coaching! Subbing hoping you can grow on youtube but hoping you could rethink the leather purchasing goals you mentioned in another video 😿🙏

After playing thousands of chess games online, starting with a low rating of around 1000, it finally started to sink in the importance of not helping your opponent by making making moves that improves their position.

Board's Head; thanks for your new approach to teach something of new in this world. Perhaps a day how the variant "960" wil be changing the board's head between King and Queen with the same rules, but of course in reverse way................... If you could make some lessons from scratch starting with the best opening till the strongest strategies to check mate...

"Trade pieces when you're up material" seems reasonable when you're up at least a piece, or perhaps have multiple passed pawns and can reach a known-winning endgame position. But if you're just up a pawn and are nowhere close to an endgame, the rule of thumb really doesn't apply.
