In this video I started building the single most ambitious piece of terrain
I’ve ever attempted, A 2x2 subterranean dungeon terrain board that I will be mainly using for the death house dungeon from the D&D adventure Curse of Strahd, but built in such a way that the that the dungeon rooms are all removable so it can be used for skirmish games as well!

The cool color palette really sells the simple rocky texture as being shrouded in shadow! I will have to keep that technique in mind!

Always fun with Gothic horror terrain and minis. I also like how that door-Mimic looks like it could be from the animated Ghostbusters. :)

Hi Dana, I'm so loving your Curse of Strahd gaming terrain video projects. Please keep posting similar themed videos as your party make their way thru Barovia. I'm looking fwd to the actual video game play walk-through using your builds. I'm working on something similar for my D&D campaign for my young sons as I love the aesthetic of 3D terrain for D&D adventuring. Theatre of the mind game play is fantastic but there is something to be experienced by a well made dungeon craft. I've made a large final staging battle scenic in a section of Ravenloft Castle to face off with Strahd. Your channel was instrumental in its inspiration. Thanks once again for your amazing channel and wonderful crafting and painting tips. Warm regards, KirkwNYC

Nice. Love the cool colors of the cave system. Hollow Knight is great inspiration. On the subject of Ghasts and clothes, I think it's fine if there's a range of coverage between ghasts, as they represent a more intelligent form of Ghoul. In my homebrew, I have Ghouls (and Ghasts) be something a person might turn into after death (usually due to extreme privation, hunger), or that they turn into _while alive_ (due to enthusiastic/habitual cannibalism). Some folks even engage in the forbidden feast as a means of extending their lives (though, as with Gollum from LotR, their quality of life suffers over time). This can create situations where a Ghast may continue maintaining a public life for years, until the physical degradation of their bodies drive them further and further into reclusion. This includes continuing to wear clothes, for as long as the Ghast cares to do so.

i wouldnt have thought of hollow knight colours, it looks great, i would probably have done basic grey, brown, green stone style stuff and it wouldnt have this ghostly feel to it

Are you going to film the party playing through it? I sure like to watch 😊 It all looks great, i love the fact that you can just add the dungeon to a bigger cut of terrain and remove it at will!

I love your work, but I think the wood parts would probably look better if they had more contrast and a lot less saturation. The blueish rock parts were spot on. Regards
