I had the same thing happen on a 15 mile ride home from work I never looked at my battery readout which wasn’t full when I started, about 50%, and I ride it home on max setting and it stopped 2 miles from home, I just assumed no problem it will just revert to a standard bike. How wrong I was. I felt like I was riding through thick treacle when peddling because it feels like your having to fight against the motor which is no longer powered. Any sort of incline was very difficult, downhill I could freewheel so that was the only respite

I have three bikes. One electric (built from scratch from a welder friend because idk how to do that stuff) one 18 speed mtb and one 6 speed hybrid. And I have an electric scooter that runs on drill batteries. Love the thing but it breaks too much since I’m past the weight limit and I like to carry baggage on top of that. When my ebike is working, it’s the best thing and gets me around my small city for a whole day using a car battery. But my manual bikes I call them, they’re my reliable bikes. Nothing can really jostle loose or break with the right maintenance the parts are cheaper to buy, but there are admittedly more parts to those. The moral of the story is: it’s okay to love all bikes. Just get your friends onboard! The more people biking, the better. Make America Bike Again! #maba

i just ordered the juliet eahora electric bike which has a comparatively massive 60 amp hour battery. i’m really looking forward to traveling everywhere a bike can and cannot go, with this actual long range electric bike. i say actual because many electric bikes promote a product that says long range, and then the amp hour rating of the battery may be far less than 20 amp hours, which many say should not qualify as actual long range. further stating that electric bike range should be measured with the bike powering itself, and not including the additional assistance of the pedals contributing to the movement of the electric bike. i agree with this analysis.
