@@ssaun2179 that’s the one thing I’ll quibble with about him, he thinks that ppl will fold really strong hands all the time, we shouldn’t be trying to get trips to fold, it’s just a losing proposition long term. I grind 5/10 here and think I’m top of the food chain, please don’t come to Australia LOL. Your play with JQ is absolutely beautiful, stakes don’t dictate a 10x overbet in theory. I’m sure you would have bet the exact same with k10 kk k6s, although k6/56 would have been better candidates for the line still perfectly executed especially the way your opponent played 106. Playing this deep you would expect opponent to raise flop or turn with value to get it all in by river, instead he is aggressive fish and you just ran into it buddy! Keep it up awesome work

I think even a 2 x pot bet on the river forces villain to just flat with his boat since you have an uncapped range, it’s no merit in shipping in that gross of an overbet when his draws are gunna fold to any sizing and his value hands are going to look you up excluding kx that might think about it, it’s hard to be linearly balanced in this situation because would you really be going 7x pot on the river with kings full or 10s full of kings, or does 2 x sound appropriate since you’re targeting a range that you block so much of his value. Anyway I like the heart and the acknowledgment that you have all the strongest hands in range but it just doesn’t warrant that sizing to accomplish what you’re trying to. Keep grinding bro

Absolutely love your content and think you’re a great player, but the 10x overbet is just flat out wrong and ridiculously bad. You accomplish the EXACT same thing with half that sizing, or even a third of that sizing. I find it hard to believe you make that same bet with KK or KT. But I’m sure in hindsight you realize the mistake. One of the few mistakes I’ve seen you make literally ever, but a disastrous one. You’ll bounce back 💯

@reecedover3492 Жыл бұрын
I disagree, I think Sam would use this exact sizing with KK, K10, but possible not 1010 blocking calling hands like 10x. We saw Sam do this exact line a few episodes ago with flush 10x overbet $500 pot but he had it and got called, just unfortunate, this line gets folds from all Kx and even counterfeit K6s. The players range should have hardly any 106 k10 as played. Playing so insanely deep against an aggressive opponent he should definitely be raising the flop for protection/semi bluff, and/or raising turn for pure value to get it all in by river against sams strong hands such as Kx aa combo draws

I agree 100%, he’s gotten away with a few over bet bluffs because ppl haven’t been trapping him as they should when you have someone who overbet bluff a lot. If I’m these guys I would def check my stronger hands knowing I can 3! If needed or call a Jam. He literally accomplishes the same folds with betting 1.5-2x pot. But 12x! Your only getting called by hands that are crushing you. He’s gotten too cocky with that move. N you can lose your bankroll 3-5 sessions tryna be cute.
