I feel your pain, i play for a living too for over a decade you have to just book a win to get your confidence back even if it’s a small win and start the positive energy again otherwise you get comfortable losing and expecting the worse out of sessions or situations instead of thinking how much can I win from my opponent in this hand u think how much am I potentially gonna lose in this hand or session

Lex, I have been playing for over twenty years. This down swing for you is how the majority of my sessions go. I have watched you for years, along with other vloggers, and it has always astonished me how well you guys run at times. I have always felt like all the bad beats and unlucky card run outs that I have taken were just normal. Then, I here you say that this is the worst you have seen in the 5 years you have been playing. I do not like seeing you go through this down swing, but inside im thinking its about time that you experience just a fraction of what I think lots of us deal with on a regular basis. Take care brother.

I did something I never done.......I hit and run. Only time in my life I ran after one hand. I just something to break the streak and have been on a tear ever since.

This is ridiculous. You're playing cash games. Cash games are one long session. Taking an early win means nothing. If the table is good, you stay. If the table is tough, you move or leave. Those are the ONLY factors other than judging your own play based on tilt, fatigue, etc.
@mully1079 ай бұрын
@@tuck8200 this is ridiculous. People arent EV robots. They have emotions and flaws. Getting a few wins under your belt while on a downswing definitely helps the mental game. And that's a good thing even if it cost you some ev. He can't hit and run, it's bad advice for him. But for your average player it's definitely beneficial. Phil Galfond recommended it in a video and I have done it a few times during downswing since.

Lex, great vlog and I like your honest conclusions after every vlog. As mentioned in a previous vlog, I think to let the downswing topic be so prominent is one reason that poker players don‘t play there A poker game. Of course, some bad beats are part of the game and luck as well. One comment at the beginning what I don‘t like that you mentioned after double up your stack was that you talked about „free“ money… it is not free money it is yours and the mindset you got something for free may force you to light calls/moves etc. Your stack is YOUR money and it is not for free! The secret is to not affect a downswing as well as an upswing to your game. I know difficult for all players. Play the poker math, play you A-game and then it will come back to you! Sometimes, a break could help. Go on vacation and re-set your mind. Maybe for a pro more difficult but exactly for those situations you should have a professional bankroll management! Hope that makes sense? See you at your next vlog ☘️😀

Lex I think you are playing some hands incorrectly. For example: on the flop of 2-3-6 rainbow when you have QQ, you should be check-jamming all-in to the Euro’s big bet.. he easily could have had hands like TT JJ AK or AQ suited…. I sure hope you’re studying the game every day and I hope you’re not resting on your laurels; because other players are getting better and/or they’re adjusting to the way you play.

Great content keep it coming! And don't fret, dream spots to cooler rec players in big pots will eventually return rest assured. As you know 15-20k hand downstairs will and do occur on a regular basis so just plan accordingly no worries. A couple months of live play is nowhere near the volume to constitutes a swing yet so just keep playing them one street at a time like always and don't be so results oriented. Young full-time professional gamblers like yourself, Rampage, Airball, Mikki, and Mariano are exactly what this country needs more of. Or maybe not, just depends on your perspective I guess. I prefer a soft rec table myself

Here's 2 ways to get out of the downswing. 1. Play 20 days straight wait for premiums. Get 1000 dollars ahead and hit and run 2. Do not play a hand for 90-120 minutes unless it's pocket 10s or above. Then after you see the bully the lag or the NIT ...and take mental notes of everyone's play... 22:44 Then play your style...unr goof bro!😊 Often we want to create content and want to hustle and get in our and start editing... So... My opinions that may help.. Get 20k win streak or 20 days... At 1k profit.. See how it goes from there😊 Also after the initial 90-120 minirtes pick one to three people you want to target and get it in with . Leave large stacks alone.. and the first 2 hours will give you table image/street cred

You can attribute a downswing to bad luck.. but also if you’re not studying the game every day, and if you’re not trying to learn from your mistakes, then these downswings will happen more often. In poker, you can’t rest on your laurels. You must identify which mistakes you are making and correct them. (Why do I have a feeling that you’re not putting in enough time to make yourself a better player?)

So Lex, you say immediately after the first hand that these players are playing and calling too loose and that you need to adjust to Texas poker. Then you spend the rest of the video trying to bluff them out of their shoes and trying to make them fold top pair or an over pair. WTF! I was pretty sure that when you said you had to adjust you meant that you need to bet for value more and bluff less. You did the exact opposite in most hands that you showed.

Lex, I've been watching you since day 1 and I'm a huge fan. I even met you a couple of times over the years. That being said, please, please don't go down the road that some other vloggers went down of referring their audience to play in those scummy, sketchy apps. I know it's tempting as the rake back can be huge, but it's simply not worth to sell out your loyal watchers like this. These apps are obviously money pits, it's impossible to win long term given the insane amount of rake they take. That's without going in to conspiracies that they're rigged for action and coolers which I personally believe. It's just bad for people overall to deposit and play on those apps. I feel that you're above selling out your audience and milking them like the other guys. Love your vlogs, and how you crush it!

I guess you're right, although I'm not sure those hands are overbetting flop like that? If we give V those hands that's 12 combos we're ahead of, we're behind 12 AK, 6 AA, 3 KK, 1 KQs, 3 KJs. And it's not impossible V shows up with 66 or 54 suited, or some other light 3 bet It's hard for me to find many other bluffs, I guess 76 could play this way? Kinda shows the importance of 4 betting to narrow this range down

@@seanmcauliffe9125i think the guy had AK. Bets preflop strong, and I think if Lex raises villain shoves with AK and prolly calls with AA or KK. Then with AK he misses the flop but caches a K on turn and value bets. The fact villain hasn't played many hands and took time away from his movie may be the tell tale. I think it's a fold.
