@Alto Glow overpricing sucks too. The scam in question (just FYI idk if you're aware or not already) is the go-to listing when you search something up and they have tons of fake positive reviews. But a few in there say their packs were resealed and all commons. Happens all the time and it's really sad. Amazon doesn't seem to be doing anything about it either.

Exactly! From what I can tell, Amazon doesn’t seem to be doing anything about it. So they either don’t know this is going on, or they do know and they just don’t care. Either way, it’s sad that so many people are getting scammed out of their money because they don’t know they’re buying fake stuff…

I work with a lot of shrink wrap the only thing I can think they could do to fake it is decrease the tension when they wrap the product. This’ll give you more of a scrunchy feel to the plastic

Genuinely happy I found them, they brought back so much nostalgia and to just see this guys high energy and the love he has for the game is really something exciting to see. BIG props for helping expose these clowns and helping people too know the signs of a fake. The DDS Blue-eyes scammer in Canada has apparently moved on too fake ghost's now.... Have had MULTIPLE people expose this guy but he just make's different account's.... With the price that a lot of these cards/boxes cost you should really be able too take legal action against these scum bags.

Now that these boxes literally sell for more than a car, it's extremely risky to invest on these ultra expensive cards unless you happen to know people who own these boxes and wouldn't pull bullshit on others and of course have the $$$ to spend on ultra expensive cardboard.

They don't make them exactly 1 to 1 because if they did the market would collapse. If you couldn't differentiate between the two then cards would lose all value. Same thing applies to the fake shoe market as well. With fake shoes they can get super close nowadays but there is always a minor flaw

4:10 it protects them in court by making minor errors on logo and copyright related items. Obivously the entire box is a fake / copy right violation - but messing up the logo is a good place to point out it is not a perfect copy. Especially to Konami themseleves in some sort of settlement situation. Essentially if you needed a B+ for whatever reason on a test instead of an A+ , thats the exact theory.

SO, i think i can answer the question of "Why do replicator's leave tiny hints." You can TECHNICALLY print fake money. IF it contains the words "This note is NOT legal tender." if you do that, and the person accepts it, you cannot be held legally responsible for what that bill is used for. Because it's obviously a fake and it's up to the person who accepts said bill to say no, not the person who printed it. Now, if you attempt to use said bill for a purchase, you can be held legally responsible but the person who printed it is not responsible as long as they didn't sell it to you because they covered their ass. This is why, if i'm remembering correctly that is. That there was an arrest for counterfeit artwork in the past, the arrest was for the person who SOLD it, not the person who originally created the counterfeit to begin with. The knowledge of having a fake and selling it is apparently worse than making it and selling it. So if someone on Ebay was selling LOWD for like 25 dollar's, puts in the fine print that it's a fake, then you go and buy it thinking "This is a fucking deal." and sell it for 25k THINKING IT"S REAL WHEN IT"S NOT, the person who'd get in trouble is you, not the original seller. But, also, sometimes they actually aren't trying to make it obvious. It's kind of a two sided coin, in some cases they want it to be as a real a counterfeit as possible to get as much out of it as they can and in other cases they want to make it clear it's a fake so they can't be held legally responsible after.

I believe sassyotto originally bought it from the unamed scammer to which he then sold to someone else not knowing it was fake. Then ruxin bought/ traded for the box off that guy so basically all 3 of them got scammed if im not mistaken

I believe they leave small differences in the logo to avoid maximum punishment from the law. Technically that isn’t an exact 100% copy of Konami. Idk, seems like a loophole thing.

It depends on how you define too good to be true, It’s too subjective. For example, I pulled a second Accesscode talker from el dorado when I already had one and only needed one for my deck. I sold the second one on Ebay listed at $50/$55, but took an offer for $35 when TCG player was moving them around $60 at the time. Sometimes people will undercut the market just to make a quick sale. My buyer might have seen that as too good of a deal.

Also, when it comes to buying cards online I always make sure to look for ones that i can trust, reputation, and is officially an OTS store because as far as I know when Konami releases new yugioh products to the OTSs the products tend to be the non counterfeits.

I had this LoBWD box gifted to me by my mom decades ago when she was abroad At the time I started getting into the anime and bought Kaiba and Joey's structure decks, and Pyramid of Light had just recently come out When I saw the box, being young and all I didn't think much about it, but when I started opening the packs I immediately noticed that this was fake The feel of the cards was so off, they felt different compared to the structure deck ones I was pretty bummed out because I was getting some neat cards in the packs, but they didn't have the YGO logo on the back, and some had varrying degrees of fakeness I pulled a few Blue Eyes, a couple of Ultimate Dragons, and even a Shining Dragon or two which was weird how this card was in the pack before it was shown in the movie when the pack logically came out much earlier than that I never checked the card list, so maybe it was indeed in there, but it was still fake While it was bothersome they were fakes, I still included them in my deck, and since i was only playing with a friend of mine only it didn't matter if we used f akes or not because it was just for fun But now that im getting back into collecting these again, im going to sift through my deck and take out all the fake ones, even if i have no one to paly them with where i live, just out of principle I guess

I once had this Galaxy Solder & Ancient Gear Gadget in which the foil cards reflected (were shiny) in the textbox. Is it safe to assume these were fake? I would think Konami only foil the corners of the artwork. (I bought them from troll and toad)

I feel some kind of way, cause I have cards still from LOB and there are some of them from back then that just look kinda fake. But they're real, from real packs, brought from the store... Then there was the entire tactical evolution (TAEV) set that the first edition was all just had that weird slippery feel to the cards. Like they all felt plastic... And counter counter came without the counter trap symbol. Like that entire first edition of that set would flag as fake for them
