@@MrMitchbow but to be honest it's not impossible to do something like that. I mean we got a taste of something like that. They could possibly make that a possibility and let's go Pikachu and Eevee. But considering how tech keeps advancing in the Pokemon world it wouldn't be too far-fetched have a portable PC. it would completely eradicate the need to go to Pokemon center. so you would need limitations for instance you can no longer put fainted Pokemon or status conditions Pokemon into the PC. To get back on track. if we did have that PC option. we can totally do that. because then the unknowns will fly out of the PC as a trigger kind of event.

You know the one mystery that I would like answered? Mewtwo's mega stones were created well into the past. but Mewtwo was created at most 20 years ago. Think of it like this : it's not that Mega Stones were created in the universe with a purpose. The story from Gen 6 says that it was AZ's machine, which released its energy, to have caused Mega Stones to form. I doubt AZ ever sat and said "Yeah, today I will design a stone to evolve a species" . The best guess is that the stones resonate with a certain Pokemon by chance, at least in the game's lore. Plus, even Banette is artificial, as it is a doll being possessed. So, my guess is that, lore wise, the gems aren't designed for Pokemon. Some can just react to them.

So basically what you're saying is. that there are still mega stones out there. waiting for the off chance that someone might tamper with Pokemon DNA and just the right way for it to react to the mega stones. Definitely gives us more options for mega Stones. Pokemon that haven't been discovered Pokemon yet and haven't been created by human hands. Or maybe mega stones that can only be used on regional variants.

I have a bit of a theory about Wally: In ORAS an NPC talks about how Pokemon Centers used to have a 2nd floor obviously a reference to RSE, but if ORAS took place at the same time as RSE the technology shouldn’t be as advanced as it was. This makes me think ORAS takes place in a timeline where the events happen years later than they did in RSE. (Possibly 10 yrs later if we use release dates.) If SuMo/USUM take place in that timeline then Wally wouldn’t have aged more than a year or two making it believable he would look the same. Heck we can use the same logic and assume Red and Blue are from FRLG making them around 20.

Dad_Shoes I guess the real answer is closer to every single game has its own timeline and they don’t connect cleaning because of this. I mean ORAS is already two different timelines, one where Team Aqua’s evil and one where Team Magma’s. Let’s go retells Yellow’s story but on a timeline where Red and Blue left Pallet before the events of the story. And Yellow itself takes place in a timeline where Oak only had an Eevee to give out.

@Dad_Shoes I'm not saying their following their own rules or that other regions don't exist in said timelines or that there isn't a timeline of sorts. But it's really clear that what happens in each version of each region's game are not entirely consistent with each other. I mean Hoenn has 5 different timelines, Sinnoh 3 and Unova 2. If you think each game takes place in an alternate timeline suddenly a lot of inconsistencies vanish.

But your right they're just games, at it's core the problem stems from the games throwing references to other games and introducing mechanics that weren't initially there without regard to the whole of the timeline. It is revealed in the Pocket Monsters Special manga for ORAS special, that Aster was as you stated the latest lorekeeper of the draconic clan, which in said manga was still active, but just a few remained. By the flashbacks that they show us of him (as a shadow) on top of Rayquaza, he was the one in charge of working together with Rayquaza to protect the planet of any meteors or asteroids. In the manga we see how he tried to help Rayquaza when the Pokemon Association sent several teams to capture the legendary dragon when it was in a cave in JOHTO.

I want to mention The Eternal Daydreamer’s theory. I can’t remember if I’ve come across this theory or not. Red and Blue needed 3D models, as they have appeared in generations 1, 2, and if I remember correctly, 5. Anabelle (Looker’s partner in SMUSUM) could’ve also needed a model, as, to my knowledge, she only appeared in Emerald. Wally already had a 3D model so they could’ve taken it from ORAS. Maybe GF decided to just reuse Wally’s 3D model from ORAS instead of making a new 3D model. I just wanted to touch on the strange person in X and Y. There is another one the exact same class and style in Alola. She says she can’t hear the elevator if the player speaks to her. Maybe the strange girl in Kalos was meant to meet up with the strange girl in Alola and somehow they ended up in two different regions? I’m pretty sure I’ve heard that theory on the internet, I just can’t remember where.

I'm curious about how Ghetsis met and saved the Shadow Triad, and what happened to N's real parents and how Ghetsis knew where to find him. I was gonna bring up the Ghost girl, but you did that. There's some hints scattered around town like a hidden message about going to go for help that's theorized to be about her and her possible appearance in the Richissime Hotel. Personally, I like running the theory that she was in TF, but had second thoughts, ran away and was killed while she was trying to find help. Wouldn't explain who the one is (her killer, maybe?) and why she was in ORAS tho.

When you first meet Wally in gen 3 he is a sickly little boy, a kid. The game posits that since catching his Ralts, his health has improved by leaps and bounds. This is explainable by some Gardevoir dex entries and is both a nice nod and cool story. In gen 6 remakes it is the same story but he has Gallade instead of Gardevoir. Gallade doesn’t have much of the same fluff as Gardevoir regarding his trainer but we can assume some sort of similar «powers » are at play since they share the same root evolution. This can also have had an age-slowing effect. While I agree he doesn’t look as aged as Red and Blue in Gen 7, he went from child cartoony ORAS model to teenager Sun/Moon model so some amount of aging happened. My money really is on the « Gallade cured him of his childhood illness and is now protecting him from effects of time » theory.

My line of thought is that all the ghost girls may share an origin like the mother and daughter pair that appeared in several movies who were added when a coworker had to leave. So maybe the ghost girls were added in honor of either a single person or multiple people who died.

@@reeseolsen4052 Can't say I know who you are talking about, but I do know ghosts, and being attached to a certain place, without moving on, even if it's a place the person liked, is not good. Because of the timeless nature of ghosts, they can lose grip of themselves rather easily, forgetting their memories over time, memories that make them who they are, and eventually, even a loved place will become a cursed one, haunted by a ghost that doesn't even remember why they are there.

First a theory then a fact. Theory: Agatha and Oak’s relationship could’ve led them to marriage even possibly having children aka Blue’s parents however the two split up due to their differences. Also it is in fact confirmed canon that Iris is related to Leon and Hop. In the Pokémon Masters Mobile game she references Leon saying “I guess it runs in our family (Pokémon battling and being strong trainers)” then she goes on to mention her “cousin Leon is champion of the Galar region”

The locked and unused locations in Sun and Moon may have been due to some form of size constraint (but then again they added things to US/UM so that doesn't make sense). I do know that often times when this type of thing is brought up the answer is found years later and it's normally some sort of constraint with the system the game is on. The last Pokemon games on the 3DS systems push those systems to their limits and depending on what was planned for those areas it may have been impossible to implement. If SM/USUM had been on the Switch those areas might have actually been opened up with more content. But that is just a guess on my end. It could have been that they would have added those things and then something down the way changed and caused them to just cut the content for those things.

I heard several times that Professor Oak was an Elite 4 member specializing in Normal Types and was best known for his Kengaskan who could his Ghost types. The Wally thing... actually they just used his model from Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire, so your remark of forgetting to age him is most likely correct.

Wally could be a late bloomer. His parents were saying he was always a sickly child too so he could have another condition. I didnt look older than 12-13 years old until after i graduated from high school. I'm not the only one who still looked like he belonged in late elementary school/early middle or junior high school throughout high school. So he could be in high school while USUM takes place 5-8 years after the events of playing through Hoenn.

Professor cosmo also says he will share some of the information about mega evolution with a friend who studies mega evolution, presumably Sycamore. If you want more proof, watch Lumiose Trainer Zac's timeline video. And about royal unova, they say an *unknown* amount of years, not to mention... It's a museum! It could simply be outdated!

About Reshiram and Zekrom splitting apart, the fact that there is a machine called the "DNA Splicers", in Gym Leader Drayden's possession, no less, that can separate Reshiram and Zekrom from Kyurem and unite them hints that whole Kyurem did not split apart willingly, someone split the dragon in to two halves with Kyurem being the shell, someone instigated the conflict between the realistic brother and the idealistic brother, but who? Drayden's ancestor, maybe?

I think that the ghost girl might have just been something that a random dev snuck in without anyone else knowing until the game came out. And for Wally, it might just be an oversight from the devs. Red and Blue aged because they were actually shown before the Battle Tree and were advertised as basically the main features of the battle tree. Wally was basically just a cameo by comparison.

In game answer to wally could be his health stunting his growth. Out of game reason is probably they reused or reuse with slight editing the model from ORAS since that was easier than spending time making a whole new model with a whole new design for a reference character with no plot relvanance. I believe they did something similar in black and white 2(?) With a tournament dlc or something with all the different gym leaders? It would be cool if they gave a real in game explanation though!

The reason Wally is still so young is probably because they still had reusable assets for his model and everything leftover from OrAs. I can see the battle tree being created late in development so maybe they ran out of time and couldnt make new models for him?

Gamefreak forgetting about Wally is the most likely reason actually Lets be real, Red and Blue aging there was for Genwunner Fanservice and Annabelle was aged because she had SOME story relevance, but Wally as JUST a contender, he has been forgotten about and put in for the same reason as i.e. Cynthia, which would be more akin of "Oh hey, here have these popular trainers i guess"

Wally was sick/sickly. Maybe whatever it was stunted his growth. It would've been funny if the ghost girl thing had something to do with trainer or secret IDs. She was waiting for a specific number and then something happened. We never got to see or hear about it though as the number was never generated or the person/people with it never went to that location. Or the number was reset when someone restarted their game while trying to shiny hunt starters or for some other reason. Since the games were data mined, this can't be the case but it would've made for some interesting stories "on the playground" from people who seen it but weren't able to prove it. Some mysteries or unanswered questions are a good thing but sometimes you just have to do something about them. Especially when you have so many games all taking place within the same world. Suikoden did this several times. Ted from the first game had a tragic backstory and you get to see a part of that in the fourth game. Same for Georg Prime from the second and fifth games. For those unaware, the second and third games are sequels to the previous games while the fourth and fifth are prequels. The fourth takes place a long time ago while the fifth takes place a short time before the first. None of the games take place in the same regions of the world though. You might visit a location or two from another game but it's not the main focus. It's a great display of world building. Konami used to know what they were doing and were really good at it at one time. Shame how that turned out. I wish they'd sell the series to SeGa/Atlus.

As for Wally, he is known to be frail and sickly, so it is possible that despite the fact that a decade has passed since Gen 1, 2 and 3's time, Wally has not grown much because his bones and immune system is weak. I don't believe he is a "faller" like Anabel, who apparently was a "faller" 10 years prior to Gen 7 sometime after Emerald Version (Which explains why Anabel appears to be almost the same age as Red and Blue).

If I’m not mistaken I’m pretty sure Aster’s story went more in-depth in the Pokémon adventures manga. I think she died in an accident involving Norman and Rayquaza’s escape from the lab.

I think it was classified that Unknowns are like the letter of the universe. Like they made the rules and ideas that Arceus wanted. Or they set the rules in place and when a powerful force breaks the rules they unwind and try to form the rules again or wait until the powerful force is gone.

It could be that Wally arrived in Alola as a Faller quite recently. Think about it. If he is a Faller from the same universe as Anabel, but looks like he hasn't aged a day, then he probably arrived quite recently. Some universes timelines aren't always caught up with the main universe's timeline, and are usually behind. So what if her is actually from a universe where time is slower than the time in the main universe?

To my knowledge, Aster died during a fight against the Devon men, who where trying to steal Rayquaza (to use his energy, the same that Steven's father talks about in the Delta Episode). So Aster tried to protect Rayquaza but was killed by a fire set during the fight, and when Zinnia discovered that, she started living as we know her. Zinnia's cape was actually Aster's cape, but it was burnt during the fight. Also, the Noivern Zinnia uses was one of Aster's Pokémon. I'm not imagining things, that's said in the manga, during the ORAS part. Edit: btw Zinnia is best waifu material alongside Cynthia

It's an alternate retelling of the games so it's not really a source to look into to try and explain how things are in the main games (in the manga, blaine helps in the creation of mewtwo and they share a genetic link, lance and the kanto elite 4 try to destroy mankind, pryce becomes the new leader of team rocket and archer tries to capture arceus to reform team rocket) however pokemon masters does delve more into their relationship and we do get to know what happened between them.

@@bgl1335 Basically she explains that when she was younger she was a quiet child who liked to be alone but oak would try and interact with her, trying to be nice, as she says. He would keep on doing that so she thought that she would battle him to make him go away, but she lost because at that time he was undefeated. They continued battling each other throughout the years and that started to mean a lot to her. Then one day he decided to stop battling to focus on his pokedex and when she told him pokemon were meant for battling he continued with his project. She ends by saying that "he wasted her precious time, and when he'd had enough of their battles, he left" and that "he trampled all over her youth, even though she never wanted anything to do with him in the first place".

read the ORAS manga, and you'll find out that Aster was the former lorekeeper; mentor of Zinnia. Aster was shown to have a deep relationship to Rayquaza, Rayquaza even allowing Aster to ride on its back. Here death was shown to be caused by the Devon Corporation, who wanted to capture Rayquaza with the sole purpose to create an artificial 'Green Orb' to control it, similar to how the Red and Blue orbs worked in the manga and anime. In order to capture it, the Devon Corporation created a smaller version of the Ultimate Weapon, used by AZ, 3000 years prior, to drain Rayquaza's life force to almost nil, weakening it enough for them to capture it. Unfortunately, however, the power of the Devon Corporation's weapon proved too much for any human to withstand, and Aster died. It is also told that the cloak that Zinnia now wears once belonged to Aster. The reason it looks so ragged is damage from Rayquaza's struggle against the Devon Corporation. so . . . yeah. The Devon Corporation is the real evil team of Hoenn.

my theory for why wally hasn’t aged is because overuse of mega evolution can stunt ones aging process due to the strain it puts upon the trainer and pokemon. red and blue aren’t shown to use mega evolution in any degree, and wally has mega gallade. there is a hole, however. dexio and sina are known to have use mega evolution in some regards, but they appear to have aged a bit.

Wally isn't the only character out of timeline in Alola. All of the Bosses in Rainbow Rocket should also have been aged, The Maxie and Archie in Alola aren't from the ORAS, and Ghetsis is from the Black and White and not it's sequel despite it happening after the events of BW. Also Colress is in Alola. The cases of Rainbow Rocket is pretty much like the case of Wally, Interdimensional Slip.

This is all just rabble that I came up with in a few minutes, but... Thousands of years ago, there were three great civilizations: the draconids, what would become the sootopolitans, and one more unknown group. Together, they could use their powers to summon great beasts from far off lands/worlds to protect them against threats(eg rayquaza, the original dragon?), but creating these portals cost life force. In their most recent time of crisis(before Delta Emerald), they met up to create the portal, but the only thing that came through was the unown, until those present ran out of life force to spend on it. Most of the draconids, ancient sootopolitans, and all of the third civilization(that inhabited the sinjoh/ruins of alph) were wiped out by the incident/conflict that they failed to prevent.

1:28 Actually, Originally Oak was supposed to be the Champion. The last Pokemon that isn't taken at the start of the game, He is suppose to take it and then you battle him later on. This was scrapped and instead, you challenge your Rival in the end. Scrapped or Not, That is still how the story goes behind the scenes. This is proven as you can actually Glitch into a Professor Oak Battle in the original Games. He has a Team with all Pokemon above that of the Mewtwo you originally find iirc

The Kalos Ghost Girl reminded me of a very cool anime called "Dorohedoro", where the main protagonist's head was turned into that of an alligator, and another head resides inside his mouth. Every time he sticks some magician's head in his mouth, the other head inside his mouth looks at it, and if it's not the magician he's looking for, he says "you're not the one". Pretty sure they're not connected though, just thought it was cool.

Wally is the same age because ORAS happened at the same time as the mega timeline's version of red and blue, the let's go games. we know that's relatively recently to USUM because we see red and blue in both games and they're about the same age.

I don't think they forgot to age Wally. I just think they didn't consider ageing him to be important. Just like they didn't age Red and Blue for B2W2, despite it being many years later. I think the ageing of Red and Blue for Sun and Moon is the exception, rather than the rule, as a combined result of nostalgia and the 20th anniversary of Pokemon. Definitely don't think they left Wally like that because of some hidden reason. Or, maybe, on the Mega Timeline, ORAS happens much later in the timeline than its non-mega counterpart??

rayquaza doesn't really reside in hoenn. it's been summoned there several times but it resides in space in the ozone layer. so it could probably technically be summoned to johto, kanto, cinnoh, unova, kalos, alola, or galar probably. it's most accosiated with hoenn but it's not really a residential legendary there

In the sonohn region there us a library. On the top floor there is a story about a man whith a sword and it says that he brought all those Pokemon and at the end of the story he puts the sword in the ground. The temple that was built somewhere in sinohn maybe was all around the sword to protect it.
