Sorry, But Isaiah Thomas as the 60th pick in the draft to make as big a splash as a little man himself truly speaks volumes of his greatness. If it werent for injuries, he would be still be ballin, guaranteed👌 Nobody would ever expect anything from the last pick in the draft. Let alone one of the shortest players in NBA history🙏

I still can’t get over how bad Ginobi was that he cost the Spurs the championship against the Heat when Allen hit that 3 pointer in the corner. Ginobli had 8 turnovers in game 6 and 4 turnovers in the last 3 minutes of game 7. I get it..Ginobli was a good player but I fully believe that was mostly because he could sit back and be the 4th best player with no pressure with the teammates and coach he had. I don’t see Ginobli being even another teams 2nd best or 3rd best and having the same accomplishments. And on a team that wasn’t a top team my opinion is Ginobli wouldn’t be thought of the same

@williamgullett5911
@williamgullett5911 Жыл бұрын
@@Anthony-nd6vk He was a role player and the 4th best player on that team. Ginobli would never been able to go anywhere else and be a 1 or a 2 top player on any top team. And I suggest you go look at the 2013 NBA finals where Allen hit that 3 pointer in the corner. The Spurs were up 3-2 in that series and Manu Ginobli cost them with 8...that's EIGHT turnovers in game 6 Ginobli was even worse in game 7. The Spurs were up with 2 minutes left and Ginobli had FOUR turnovers in the last few minutes of the 4th quarter. He kept driving under the basket, jumping up in the air with nobody to pass it to and turned the ball over each time. Manu Ginobli may have helped them win somewhat(a team with that talent could have won without Ginobli) but Ginobli absolutely cost them a championship in 2013. And then throw in that hes lauded for being a foreign player from Argentina and you have a guy who gets a lot more credit than he deserves.

I see a lot of Jordan at 3. When I think of steal, I think of a player that far exceeded expectations. Though no one could have foreseen how great Jordan was going to be, there was still an expectation of greatness with the third overall pick. And there was debate of taking Jordan at 1.
@jcpenny3606

Yeah these people don't understand what a steal is. These people act like Houston and Portland lost out. Olajuwon at #1 was the right call. Dream's numbers and achievements are as good as anyone. Sure, Sam Bowie at #2 didn't pan out but it made sense, since Portland drafted Clyde Drexler the year before. Portland still made good use of Sam Bowie by flipping him for Buck Williams, who became a big part of Portland's title run, contributing to 3 division titles and 2 finals appearance. There's no shame in that.
@jaykaynum5569

Stop it. Jordan at #2 makes perfect sense. Trade Clyde just like Warriors traded Webber. They knew Sam was injured in college and they still gave him a shot at 2? They could've waited. No one else wanted him in that draft

It's been said Steph Curry and his family notified Minnesota he's not interested to play for them because he prefers to play where there are more sunshine than winter. Too bad for the T-Wolves, who had the 5th and 6th picks that time. And thankfully, Milwaukee kept Giannis. In a way, they redeemed themselves for trading away Dirk Nowitzki 15 years prior. Yet on second thought, they could have played together.

Kobe was actually 17 when he got drafted. He was one of the youngest kids in his high school class. He was in a loaded draft class but yeah to get one of the best players ever at pick 13 is insane. Oh and West wasn’t the only man who had faith in him. He skipped college for a reason. He was the best player in Highschool basketball and very famous. Dude took Brandy to his highschool prom ffs. He had already been dubbed the next Mike before he got to the NBA. The reason he went so late was because once West said he wanted him he told anyone but LA that if they drafted him he would go play in Italy and they would waste their pick 🤷‍♂️ so West got his man.
