Fishing is so mental & I've had days where I've thrown everything but kitchen sink at them & zeroed, & I got so mad that it took me down where I couldn't get back for awhile, but you are such a positive guy man it will get better, you were so lucky on your 1st day the official didn't see your fish touch the boat carpet! Back about 45 years ago it was bad windy I made a long cast with a chartreuse painted blade lunker lure and my line looped over a willow limb about 7’ in the air and a 8 pounder sucked it down she was hanging in the air while im getting about ten feet from her a big wave rocked me and my line broke. I think it took her ten minutes to hit the water with that bright blade hanging out her bucket mouth ! Cost me 10,000 ! Just keep chunking and pitching it will pay off !!

You are the Pro and have probably forgotten more than I know. But, I used to use the small circle type hooks for Wacky Rig, and lost a bunch, then I switched to the 1/0 hook and my catch rate went way up.......Just a thought, hoping for the best, the remainder of 2023.

I would/could cover a fair share of the costs. I just would truly like to hang out with you guys, even if it's only ONE time. And yea, way to keep your head up after your series of not making the cut. When I do tournaments, I don't handle loss very well and don't do it for nearly as much profit as you so I'm learning from you in this manner.
