Just played the Augusta Par 3 course and it was fun, but it's nowhere near as good as Top of the Rock as par 3's go in this game. They haven't added course specific commentary either. Still, four new courses and all the 2024 majors available is an incredible update!

Not sure if you played EA skate or skate 2, but the video editor they built into those old games would be AMAZING for this game. You could create such cinematic content. Ugh I’m dreaming of it. I don’t even create content, but the creative angles would be amazing.

You think they’ll ever have an update that lets us search for match play or other modes based on the difficulty we want? Idk why they won’t do this. I hate the constant difficulty changes can’t get used to anything

Gameplay and swing mechanics/animations still hold this game back. Everything else is very solid but something doesn’t feel natural about the swing even for the pro golfers. Haven’t been able to get over it since the game came out a year ago. 2K is miles behind in terms of visuals and graphics, but I feel there is some sort of skill & timing/tempo involved to go low. I liked the feel of Rory McIlroy ‘15 much better 🤷🏻‍♂️

This is pretty cool, I do enjoy both golf games myself. They each have their strengths and weaknesses. I prefer 2K23 for the gameplay, 2K easily has that in spades. EA, however, has the graphics and certain aspects of the presentation down to a science. Thanks for updating us on this.

The patch notes don’t say the courses are available in single player, Here’s the exact patch notes “All four of these incredible courses are now available to play in Quick Play and Private Match and will be featured in Online and Tournament playlist rotations as well. As previous Ryder Cup hosts, Pinehurst No. 2 and Valhalla have also been added to Ryder Cup formats in Quick Play, Online, and Private Match” am I wrong? Where does it say single player anywhere on there I’m so confused!

Quick play is single player or multiplayer (in person) from the main menu

Glaring issues from day 1 still not resolved such as RNG, Penalty areas not shown on hole maps, difficulty geared towards arcade players and by that I mean anyone who is actually good at golf games will find shot execution far too easy. They couldn’t even get the face texture on the Qi10 driver correct (and I do have the full Qi10 driver, woods and hybrid set in real life). The issues are really holding back this game and EA thinks a few courses and average content will solve the problems? EA are now trolling it’s consumers with this.

@@drewgriffithsfm While i would usually agree with you when it comes to EA (i mean who wouldn't) i think their PGA offering is actually a solid first step in a long time considering the last game they did in the franchise was in 2015. There is plenty going for this game if you are a fan of golf, huge list of customization, solid career mode, solid selection of courses. Its a good golf game but does come with EA baggage like the pro pass but honestly i think 2K is more egregious in that regard, as soon as you start 2K up it slaps you in the face with its pass. Is it perfect no, i think even some of the basics of the game feel off, the back swing for every player feels too slow, the ball contact sounds are better in 2K among other things but to nit pick on minor details is a bit extreme, i use the same shoes as jordan spieth does in the game, im not about to complain if the pattern on the sole of the shoes is off slightly. I get that we are looking for immersion, it makes us feel good seeing the equipment we use ourselves in game but its so minor if they are not quite perfect. I for one am glad they are still updating the game, regardless if its courses, bug fixes or whatever, they could just as easily drop updating the game completely like 2K clearly have done with their game, if we get an update there its to the battlepass and thats it because they are clearly focusing on 2k25, with a bit of luck EA are polishing up a next iteration of PGA themselves because hopefully it can only get better from here right, i think its unfair to say it has problems as if 2k23 does not... i mean, why make a 2k25 if 23 is perfect, its not perfect, neither is EA PGA but were lucky to have them rather than not have them at all.

Agree. Actual gameplay and swing mechanics make this game hard to play. I wanted this game to be good so bad but something is missing in the swing animations and mechanics. It’s robotic/slow and I honestly don’t feel like there is much skill involved 🤷🏻‍♂️

Is there any better player customisation yet? The faces you get to choose from are...... bad. None look like anyone I would want to see in the street. All terrifyingly lumpy faced. The games from 12 years ago were MUCH better in this respect. I play career only and like to be in the game as me. Living the fantasy of being a (much) better golfer than I am IRL. But I have to be in the game as someone who looks like a Star Trek alien. And that's not good

The character creation in this game is such a downgrade from the old Tiger Woods PGA Tour games. I don’t get. My character looks nothing like me but yet in Tiger Woods PGA Tour ‘14 for example, I could and did import my actual face so my character looks very close to me.
