WOW! Killer Score. As you said, those Klipsch speakers are worth the price of admission in themselves. Wish I could run into a deal like that! Makes one wonder what the owner's stereo setup is like now? You said he didn't want to sell his Mcintosh, but what else does he use? Super Cool.

looks like mostly 70s and early 80s. solid state stuff..now a real score would be to find some vintage tube amplifiers and receivers..and speakers from the 50s and 60s.. like Fisher... McIntosh tube amplifiers... old Kenwood and Sansui tube receiver amplifiers...

In the 1970s and 1980s my generation after the house and car would buy stereo equipment like that! Gotta remember pre-video game home entertainment. My choice of stuff was Denon and I still use the speakers! Thanks for showing Pete, and yes, very nice haul of great stereo equipment that still sounds as good or better than what you can buy now for the same dollars!

The seller was smart to hold on to his Mac amps. My dad used to have a bunch of the tube amps. Those are now worth a lot of money. Thanks for the video.

Wow Pete thats a huge score man, Some really nice equipment you purchased. Nice find. You are dead on price wise for that set of speakers, I had two horns and got 1800 local buyer came and picked them up and they were in rough shape so i honestly think 3K for the fronts and rears and center is actually a good price on them, The center is a custom made wow.

Wow so cool....I love the this type of electronics omg what a score... I grew up with my older brothers they served in air force so while stationed in Japan for yrs my brother would ship home piece by piece his speakers, turntables. He still has them. I was only one got to play records on the turntables because he had a very very specific way to do it. And his stuff looks as good as day he got it. Congrats I can't wait to watch it sell. I am wondering do you try sell local or right on ebay I know you do sell this type of stuff on ebay they just take out so much for electronics. I'm excited for you, I'm calling you next week so my husband Bill and I can meet up at your store. Thanks again for nice chat at the rally. Wow you guys put on the best event. Hey Deb said you have some of those plastic cups with straws and the vinyl zip ones... I'd like to buy a few

Those Heresy speakers separate should do very well alone. With them being $2000/pr new now, the used value has shifted up. Ditto for the KHorns - surprised they are only bringing $2100/$2400 for the pair these days.

Because they never made them better, Karen. From the sixties, through the early eighties, the "audio wars" were on. Pioneer, Sansui, Sony, and all the other Japanese companies you can think of, started building their equipment with the highest quality materials available. They found that people were willing to pay much more for higher quality components, which resulted in purer, cleaner, better sounding playback of studio recordings. These improvements made new technologies possible, as the CEO:s of each brand, wanted to be known as the 'BEST', and of course, carry a price tag to match. But as the 80's reared its ugly head, along with junk bonds, Michael Milken, and the Keating Five (well connected Rich folks, ties to politicians, 70 Savings and Loan officials and some high ranking legiators went to jail.over that. Can you imagine that happening in today's political climate? Anyway, the profits started falling, in part because they were making these audio components too good. People that used to upgrade their stereos, were content to just keep them. These audio components are still kicking after 50 years, and with minor maintenance, may go another 50 years! They were made THAT GOOD. :0)
