A big thank you for the patience on this one, haven't been 9 days late for an upload in a long time but this video was a MONSTER , just som uch labour, I've been trapped in the studio for a lot of longgggg days. I was actually foolish enough in late December when I started this video to dream I could finish ALL of the rest of Helms Deep in this video, silly Lachie. but on the upside, now you guys will get one more Helms Deep video to see this baby FULLY FINISHED very soon!!! EDIT: Apparently there's been a lot of discussion this week around a recent firmware update from Bambu which I wasn't aware of until after I made this video. I absolutely stand behind my comments about the P1S, the hardware is just phenomenal, but if you enjoy 3rd party software like ORCA, it looks like there might be some other factors to consider before purchasing. I found a really wonderful article by Sean Hollister a senior editor at The Verge which poses some really direct and clear questions straight to Bambu, which seems like it would be a good starting place for further research for you guys :) www.theverge.com/2025/1/21/24349031/bambu-3d-printer-update-authentication-filament-subscription-lock-answers Obviously to acknowledge any bias, this video is sponsored by Bambu, but I have honestly had an absolute blast with the machine over Christmas and the New Year and for me the product is an awesome fit. If you’re going to pick up one of the Bambu printers, please use my affiliate link to help support the channel. Bambu P1S: shareasale.com/r.cfm?b=2377905&u=3429047&m=138211&urllink=&afftrack=

Hey Lachy, Houdini FX Artist for WetaFX here. If you want to take your noise to the next level, try masking the amplitude by another lower frequency noise. It'll help break up the uniformity on larger pieces and give some smoother patches here and there. Love your content, keep up the good work.

Every boy who has ever looked a box of models has had the dream of doing something like this. This is what every single one of us envisions when we play with our little plastic soldiers. But one of the things we don't really think about or realize is how much insane work and planning goes into this. Once this is done, it'll be a matter of taking a few pieces and setting them on the table, but the effort you go through to realize our dream is more monumental than I think most of us realize. This isn't just cool because I get to see a dream become a reality, but it's cool from aspect of planning and vision and work. There is a lot of effort here, man, and I for one madly respect it. Most excellent.

These build videos are inspiring me to make maps from the 2005 Battlefront 2 Star Wars Game. Recreating the Mos Eisley, Kamino, Geonosis, and Mustafar at Star Wars Legion scale would be a heart warming goal to achieve, but I definitely don't have the space to store/ make any of that.

I half feel like the mini stairwell between the stables and the great hall is a mistake, only because im assuming it would be hard for horses to manage the stairs and I feel like that long sloping ramp is how they got the horses up to the great hall for their final glorious charge, but I can imagine it was difficult to get the ramp and great hall to line up while keeping the access gate inside the citadel. still looks amazing, I think its gonna take the cake for hardest board to store at least until you go and finally finish Dol Guldur.

Model plane builder here: If you lay down a layer of fiberglass cloth here and there, for example before the stone work, wetted with epoxy or PU it would result in a lot of structural rigidity for bigger models. Many plane modelers are using the same foam materials you are and that's how to make it rigid enough to fly. It will barely weigh more. Keep up the amazing work!
