Some things from a 40k player: "Tau" rhymes with "cow." Plasma weapons are usually a neon color that changes depending on faction and unit. People generally go with green, pink, purple, or blue. Autocannons are the long, stationary guns. They look sort of like flak cannons. Heavy bolters are @ 24:45 (third guy away from us) and the marine @ 33:00. The rest of the guardsmen look like they're using a mix of lasguns and autoguns. The militia are also using some lasguns, autoguns, laspistols, and autopistols, although they're picking up the Chaos Space Marine weapons. Lasguns/laspistols are semi-automatic weapons that fire a laser beam that's about as strong as the rifles we use today. They're battery operated and the battery can be recharged via solar power, throwing them onto a fire (although this is highly dangerous and only recommended in dire circumstances), or an outlet. Basically, anything that emits UV light or generates heat. Autoguns/pistols are conventional bullet weapons. All 4 types of weapons are built from STCs, or "Standard Template Constructs," meaning they can be built on just about any planet from materials present everywhere in the galaxy (so you don't have to use some rare metal found only on Mars). The Chaos Marines are using boltguns (or bolters) and bolt pistols, which are automatic weapons that fire mini-rockets. And by mini-rockets, I mean rocket-propelled bullets. Yes, that's actually how 40k describes them. Plague Marines refers to a type of Chaos Space Marine, specifically a marine who worships the Chaos god, Nurgle, and bears a Mark of Nurgle that gives a demonic blessing. The Death Guard are a faction of Chaos Space Marines that are composed of nothing but Plague Marines and Nurgle worshipers. You'll find Plague Marines in other factions of Chaos Space Marines besides Death Guard (such as The Black Legion). The "Uzi" looks like it's a bolt pistol. Fires the same round as a boltgun/heavy bolter/storm bolter, but from a pistol. Lascannon fires @ 32:41. Plasma Cannon @ 32:47 (the gun that accidentally hits friendly troops) and you see another Plasma Cannon (with a different color) hit @ 35:55. I think the green one might be master crafted (meaning it's been hand built by a tech priest with blessings from the Machine God). 36:24 is a Multi-Melta. Melta weapons basically fire out streams of lava. 36:57 looks like it's a veteran sergeant with plasma pistol (although it's hard to tell if it may be a plasma gun). Usually Force Commanders and Captains carry power weapons and wear Iron Halos. Hope this helps! Looking forward to Orks and Eldar!

I still feel like the space marines and chaos marines should pack more of a punch in gameplay. Of course you can't have them be accurate to the fluff (a handful of plague marines could have been more than enough to take out entrenched imperial guardsmen, even if they are the Death Korps) but it would be nice to see the marines closer to how they are meant to be. In any case, great video! I really enjoyed it and I would love to see a video on the Dark Angels.

It is not (CENSORED) but choas. Remember that or you will be censored. And if you insist on saying or spelling (CENSORED) the inquisition will come and have a chat with you. On a sidenote. Active IG regiments are allways (or as far as possible) armed with Lasguns. Autoguns are only realy used by PDF (and in some cases IG) units on worlds that lack the industry to produce lasguns. The main reason being that supplying autoguns with ammo in the field can be bothersome, and in some cases outright impossible. While a lasguns depleted powecells can simply be recharged at the nearest power supply and be used again in a wery short time. Add in that a autogun (aka assault rifle) in Warhammer 40 000 is more of what we would call a battle rifle with a weight on over 6 kg and firing long 8.25 mm rounds and you have a weapon that is both heavy and have quite a bit of recoil when fired in full automatic. While not realy doing more damage than a lasgun (that have less than half the weight and no recoil making better in general for the soldiers that are not made out of pure muscles) does unless you use special ammo in it. And yes the lasgun is a laser weapon. But shortening names for no realy good reason is a thing in Warhammer 40 000.

If you've been following the lore since the 80s or early 90s you can claim precedence. I remember a time when the Great Crusade and HH where just fluff material to set the stage for the table top game. And it was once assumed that all of it, some of it, or none of it might be true because: Grimdark. The real important thing to get with 40k is the inspiration. If you know the comparable sci-fi and real world historical inspirations for 40k lore you can pretty much get it. Shit even with all the details we do know it is conceivable that the whole thing is a conjuration of 40k's Merlin, Malcador. Its very deliberately distopian, because the analogue is a collapsing civilization like 3rd and 4th century Rome, or the end of the Bronze Age. Real world inspirations include things like Herodotus and Thucydides, the history and pseudo histories of Alexander, Caesar's Gallic and Civil Wars, Edward Gibbon's Decline and Fall of Rome, the legends of Charlemagne, King Arthur, and the chronicles of the Crusades. And of course basically the whole history of the Holy Roman Empire. And the whole thing is wrapped in several obscure but well trodden scfi-fi tropes. If you've read Herbert, Asimov and Heinlein you are good. The most unique aspect of the 40k franchise is its somewhat unique take on FTL and the lore surrounding The Warp. That's "The Warp" capitol T and W, for you Star Trek fans. Not warp drive, 'The Warp' is just a shorthand for what is really a parallel plane of existence that can be accessed and used to effectively travel across vast distances in our reality. There is so much more to it, but understanding the Warp is the biggest unique part of 40k, and makes the rest of it much easy to understand.

We should all appreciate the effort this guy takes. If you've never played modded Men of War, you have to place every single soldier individually, and every single gun emplacement, and vehicle, *and* you have to make sure you don't place them too close and prematurely trigger the AI. We are looking at easily multiple hours of work. Edit: This is not the actual Siege of Vraks and I am deeply disappointed. You could make a full story scenario campaign about that shitshow, just ask Arch with his 40 plus average hour long video playlist on it.
