lol, I was playing Swordsoul for a while too. Mannadium is a better version of swordsoul. It usually ends on a better board and doesn’t lose to imperm or veiler.

problem with speedroid kashtira is the fact that shang-baronne-crystal wing are the best and really only extra deck monsters you want to end on. The deck isn’t consistent at getting at least 2 of those out either. The space for non engine is amazing, but it feels like we’re 1 good wind synchro 8 or 10 away from it being a potentially solid deck.

SpeedKash doesn’t even end on Crystal Wing. You want to make Clear Wing Fast or Dawn Dragster instead. It doesn’t need a strong board anyway, the massive amount of non-engine it can play gets you into long games where Baronne and Fenrir really show their long-term value. But another good option would be reeeeally nice. I’m begging for a quick effect pop…

@@cashcloakburmy depending on the hand, when you have an extra extender, you can make it with piper’s level reduction effect. Some hands wind lock you and doesn’t allow you to play dragster at times either. Not all builds will play it, but they can make it and its something some builds do play.

I totally agree with what you said about Rescue-ace, but let me add something: The deck is heavily reliant on diabell package, so 1 handtrap(ash/imperm diabell monster/spell) can end its turn since its hard to see airlifter in the opening hand post banlist.

I kinda disagree with you. I have a mate that plays RACE without the Diabellstar Package and he almost always sets up the 4 Spells/Traps with Turbulence. That deck is scary as fuck. I tried Imperm/Veiler on Turbulence and Ash on Emergency. Also going 2nd with Boardbreakers and even then you don't beat it 2 out of 3 times thanks to him playing Crossout for Evenly and Lightning Storm. You still need to respect it without the Diabell package otherwise you get your ass kicked 😬

Generaider Runick can either 3 hand rip on your starting turn and 1 hand rip on opponents next MP1, or can just 2 hand rip (yoru MP1) 2 board break on opponents turn and I think thats wild. All done because of ib

@@delgande Generally, 3x Martha 3x Elis 2 or 1x Stella 1x Sophia 0x Irene (worst brick, run it if you want extra vadis targets but its really generally not worth it) 2 or 1x Returnia 2 or 1x Vadis (Neither Vadis or Returnia are required to be at 2 but you definitely need 1 of each and I prefer 2 since they generally feel really strong) 3x Pax 3x Aratama 2 or 3x Sakitama Besides that, just whatever non engine you want. Definitely 3 shifter though. Extra is pretty self explanatory, highly recommend Zeus, Ty-phon, and Bagooska and then just the entire exosister gang

Even though as a community Lab for sure wins the most with this ban list I actually don't think it will become as popular as Rescue Ace or Unchained when they started making a splash in the meta so with that being said do you think Fire King will be the most popular deck in top cuts at YCS once Phantom Nightmare is out?

@@Mallalotro unfortunately even if Joshua is one of the biggest players of all time, he is not that objective when he's valutating the real power of a certain deck. For him a one card combo deck is cancer meanwhile a deck which can manage resources better than other is fine even if it can be resilient to most hand traps (like unchained or r-ace) being even more unfair than any one card combo deck which can be stopped with 1 hand trap. The saddest part is that komoney seems to listen to him and make his wishlist (not banned list) come true. That's very terrifying..

I just don't see how people think this runick generaider combo is good. If you've ever played runick you know how important having the fountain on the field is. The minute you take out the fountain to put in a boss stage you automatically turn off your activations from the hand and fountain draws, and grind game + recycling and drawing has always been the strongest part of runick. Any other field spell you can play with runick would need to be genuinely insane in order to justify removing fountain from field, and I just don't see how generaider is it

In my opinion Exosister will be the underdog of this format, bc the ability to work without the gy and having like 4 banish w full combo + other interruptions, it's not so bad... of course if you are unlucky af and get ashed/drolled in the right spot it's quite difficult to grind, but beside that, in my opinion, it's quite good, a solid choice I guess...

I’m sorry to say Josh, but plants are still here to stay…😬 They honestly didn’t even take a hit. Imagining that the aroma support didn’t even exist, simply adding a Laurel to the deck and increasing melias to 3 can still get the same end board. I have done hours of play-testing with my friend with him using multiple competitive decks, and I have still played through 1-3 hand traps depending on the hand. Plants will never die Josh, get over it. 😘😂 Also, Merry Christmas! 🎄

Mikanko is definitely in a better spot than infernoble right now, they still have ample lines to play along, and have snatch steal now to reuse. Not to mention many of the same supports that infernoble has also work with mikanko ( power tool synchros especially)

@@resetzz984 while they do have reflection rondo, it is nowhere near as good overall. that's the short of it, the _long_ of it is: rondo prevents you from using the activated effects of the monster you take. on top of this, you have to control a mikanko to even perform the steal, which means that many decks can just hit your mikanko when it touches the board, and take their monster right back. the better aspect of rondo would be that it's untargetable under hu-li, but the problem is that (as has happened to me more times than i can recall) even as a one-of, opening rondo is an absolute pain with or without a mikanko in hand, because you cannot even use the card without investing more into the board. snatch steal forces an immediate answer with or without a mikanko, can be used in almost every single way that rondo can, and doesn't prevent you from using the effects of the card you steal. it is more vulnerable to removal, but when you can throw ohime down and use the effect to make it a quick play, non targeting theft, does that really matter?

Runick Horus can banish 12 Cards from your Opponent and still build up to 3 Negates, only problem is consistency maybe.

10:15 so right now the best idea for mikanko is using the psi reflector package for power tool braver dragon, and the wanted engine can still be very useful because you can grab jet or renaud to grab back arabesque, its not nearly as good as it was, but personally I do think it can still be playable, maybe idk Ill have to test it more

Even though I do think Unchained maybe a solid deck and will get somewhat a new card from PHNI, I'm not too keen on it doing that great. Where yes, Berserk Archfiend can help trigger your Unchained monsters, the BIGGEST factor when it came to Sharvara was the quick effect pop that even included set cards to dodge stuff. I don't know, I feel Unchained may fall off to where it might be rather a Lab variant than well an Unchained deck.

I think Branded is very big sleeper pick right now, as the puppet lock is toxic but it's turn-ending making it one of the best going first decks, and superpoly and bystials main deck make very good going second against a lot of the meta like Lab, Bystial Runick and Fire King.

The moment nightmare his the field, it locks your opponent out of special summon for the entire turn Unlike Iblee or acid golem, the effect is lingering so removing nightmare does nothing

The only thing holding back Infernoble are the lack of reps. The new stuff the community has discovered post Isolde is genuinely impressive. Once Promethean Princess drops it's gonna be contending with Fire Kings mark my words. It can play through Droll, it can play through Nib, it has one card combos, it has two cards combos, it has a ton of non engine space, and it can diverge its lines based on what disruptions you hit it with. Genuinely a very strong and consistent deck.

@@dgayle2348 Snake Eyes Populous and Promethean Princess. You pretty much play the snake eyes line. While it is a bit more fragile to Droll than before. You can still end on a decent board. Granted the Ken and Gen version is dead as Josh said so this is the best alternative you can pick up when playing Mikanko.

While I can concede that this was a good banlist, I just don’t know what to play anymore. I was playing Infernoble, and with Isolde the deck felt like it could be played pure just fine at the regional level now it feels much worse. I have been testing tri brigade fire king but it doesn’t feel like it has that much longevity. And I used to one truck Spright but i don’t have confidence in it anymore. It feels like the format is gonna be all sinful spoils and if you can’t afford it you can’t play. So I’m kind of at a loss.

Honestly, i'm kinda annoyed that the virus cards, calamity, acid golem, and puppet lock didn't get shot down. The list was still amazing, but some of the most degenerate plays in the game are still allowed, and the number of times that i have been hit by eradicator, and could no longer keep up in grind game that i otherwise would have.

Im coping on tear right now but I think the way to go is a heavy kash variant focused on summoning through birth/self effect and sending kash tear to the gy by card effect to get mills going. Then the old ocg dracossack route into cherubini sprind. Tldr yeah I think its safe because lots of resources needed to get to pilgrim reaper when beatrice exists.

I’m on so much copium but honestly I love Orcust and think that it’s not terrible now with harp. If your opponent doesn’t have bystials in hand or you have babel then harp is actually a big deal for the deck. In Orcust I don’t think that IB is actually that big of a deal

Infernoble is extremely doable without Isolde. Hell, a lot of its cooks were able to play it without Isolde *BEFORE* Isolde's ban. OG Noble Knights, though? Unplayable even in a casual setting. Lack of Isolde kills it in full.

@@geiseric222 A LOT of decks struggle outing double empen. The deck can TECHNICALLY also play around every HT in the game depending on the hand.

Also unchained with into the vains makes the blue dogs good so losing shav isn't that bad plus searching it is easy and if a link gets destroyed you get 2 fiends back to the hand instead of 1. Fenrir is boosting all the decks while Sharvara is making one deck the best in the format. And Konami wants to sell new product and the new product is Fire King support and Unchained had a really good matchup so that’s why they had to hit it.
