I just saw movie today. I think it was great. Having 1st exposure to bikers in 1964 at age 12. I was attracted to the wild side the roaring sounds of engines in my ears. The fun lifestyle I loved. I think he followed the book so closely that I was able to know who the characters were before their names. Some of the looks of the actors looked similar to those in the book. I was taken back to my childhood immediately as was my friend who went with me. He captured the times as the way it was. From the way Kathy’s house looked TV ( Bewitched) the clock, clock, sitting on the front porch all bullshitting etc. I felt like I was there again. My friend felt the same. My ft was rocking in to the music. I was that girl on the back with my arms around my bf & the bikes surrounding me as we road. I was proud to be on the bike. I felt I had found “it”. I was that girl. I loved the senecio at the picnics & I had always enjoyed getting the food together with my “sisters” Us women new our bf’s & bro’s would look out for us just like Danny did for Kathy. I loved being on the bike when we rode the whole town I grew up in did. I was at home ❤lol. I have been on the outside & inside of 1 % bike for yrs. In Alaska, TX, WA &!AZ since moving here in 1984! I loved doing all the tattooed contests (as I’m heavily tattooed in old school tatts & met a lot of bikers here in AZ. I loved my experience but that has also changed but then everything has changed. I will never forget that when takin’ care of my bf and/ or bf was wiping off mud,blood & grit to gun wounds. And when getting high went from getting high on booze & pot to shooting’ dope. Everything changed & continuals to today. I feel sad & envy at the sounds of motorcycles roaring down my street of days gone by. Now that I’m also 72 & alone I often wish I had continued to ride but it just wasn’t that way back then or I’d be out there now lol 😂. I’ll say it again for me & my friend who I saw the movie with it was super great & the great making of a movie of days gone by & history of the early riding experience all riding together fast & hard he captured it all very outstanding way‼️❤️❤️🎶Thank you so much. 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸❤️🌹

I went to the premier last night on the MA/NH Line. I mean what a great way to start the first day of summer by going to a potential classic movie about motorcycles. I enjoyed it very much. I didn't think it was totally Hollywoodized. I found it to be pretty straight forward about how biker clubs started out being a bunch of outsiders sticking together but as time wore on how they turned to much darker elements that is shown today.

Hi from ‘Down Under’…..I’m 64 and a biker. I took my wife to see “The Bikeriders” and we thoroughly enjoyed it ! As a kid I saw “The Wild One” staring Marlon Brando, clearly this new film has a lot in common with that early film…….even has the same characters name “Johnny”…….however, The Wild One seems very ‘Cheesy’ as it was almost a ‘Musical’. The ‘Bikeriders’ is highly believable and set to become a classic of the Genre…….so many ‘layers’ of real life in this film.

I haven't ridden a motorcycle in years now. The film made me want to buy one. I came out the cinema and right outside a guy had been knocked off one - he was by the side of the road waiting for an ambulance, his bike underneath a car. I took it as a sign from the universe not to get one. But an absolutely superb film.

I got a laugh out of the last statement in this clip. As a guy who has been an "extra" in a pilot film for a TV series, and hired for the use of a couple of my vintage bikes, I saw firsthand the struggle between antique bikes and directors. Vintage bikes have always needed owners that knew all the the machines "quirks", or "personality", which, in the early days of motorcycles made a real bond between bike, and rider...part of the love affair that riders had with the machine ,that I'll be interested to see if it is indicated in the movie, but I doubt it from the director's statement....a detail which he completely missed, that could have been capitalized on. So, It wasn't so much the bikes....as it was the crazy things the director required of these machines. There's a saying that some "vintage bike" guys have..."you gotta have on your ruby slippers" sometimes to get these machines to co-operate. First, they put actors on antique bikes, who are only used to newer bikes....when its cold you MUST use the choke to start them, if you don't...they wont start, and everybody is ready to go but 3 guys, who don't know where the choke is. When it's hot...do NOT use the choke...or the same problem as above happens...... Then, the director makes every rider wait in a group sitting there idling in 90 degree weather for 10 minutes...then bikes overheat, cuz they're air cooled. It's funny how directors want actors, and extras to "get into the period of the scene" .....but they expect 70 yr old inanimate props to behave on command. Still can't wait to see it......
@americantaxpayer45515 ай бұрын
The tough part is. You don't know until you start kicking it over. No starters, no push button. Morning you choke it all the way. After sitting you may choke it 1/2 way, or 1/4 way, or 3/4 depending on how long you've been sitting. But yes, you learn what it will take to start it. And it is satisfying when you learn how to start it anytime, with just a few kicks.
