Got to say I did love the long shot walking bits they always did, wonder how they did the sound on their mics? under their helmets? Also in this one, Bob talking to the market men all in character I guess they were actors but all seemed ad hoc.

It’s an excellent scene, I came to comment on this specifically too. It was so natural and emblematic of the exact sort of community engagement and successful policing that went on back then. The actors, director and film crew did a super job with this one.

Bad continuity. Those scenes would have already been filmed so they don't match. Tv & film is rarely filmed in sequence anyway. Broadbeach was filmed in order as they didntwant the actors to know who the murderer was, to genuinely capture the acrors suprise.

Nope, he was in the first episode (not the pilot).

He was in episode one then rarely appeared again until series four when they went to the half hours and once Sergeant Penny had his mental break down and left it left more room for Peters to feature.
