Americans really need to get public healthcare. I live in a country where we have access to free healthcare.

Do you think we haven't been trying to get that for generations????

No profit in it.

@@413smr I know the US has been trying to get public healthcare, but the question is why has this not happened? It is ridiculous that a first world super power country like the US has no public healthcare. I am so grateful I live in a country that has this. I can't imagine what it would be like just to have to come up with money to see a doctor for something minor like the common cold.

@@donald1576 There is still profit in having extended healthcare. My country offers access to free basic healthcare, but if people want to see a dentist after the age of 18, families pay for extended healthcare or its paid for by the employer if you work at a company that offers a paid benefits plan (most companies in my country does). So insurance companies can still make a profit from extended healthcare services.

This was done 39 years ago. I wonder what the situation is now. Having worked in this field for a decade plus I agree that the hospitals are very unethical and also that they advertise things about themselves which are bogus constantly. I'd have no issue with them truthfully reporting that we are a for profit organization which treats insured people ONLY rather than saying what they say which is that they opperate an ED for EVERYBODY.

Trauma patients, medical emergencies in need of immediate care, do not get 'billfold biopsy" before they get treatment. Non-emergencies get more scrutiny.
