A man of great dedication and determination to protect his people and country. A man who's family suffered so much at the hands of IRA death squads, a family who suffer to this day by the lack of real justice for the state-sponsored murder of Billy Wright. It's very sad that Billy's father, the late Mr David Wright never got justice for his son, after so much torment and roadblocks put in his way whilst attempting to achieve justice. Many will attempt to demonize Billy for the path he chose, but he's not alone and joins the many heroes who bravely stood up against the IRA in defence of Ulster. Billy was a visionary, a real political thinker and ultimately, a very caring and devoted family man for which he will always be remembered. Maybe one day the truth will be revealed and justice will be served against those who ordered the murder of Billy and the continued cover-up of that evil state-sponsored conspiracy. “My son was the last person to be executed at Her Majesty's pleasure. I say this as someone from Southern Ireland. Billy Wright was one of the greatest minds to come out of Loyalism. I have read much about Billy Wright and I find him a remarkably complex and intriguing figure. Was he ruthless? Absolutely (as was every side in the conflict) but one can never underestimate the man's intellect and strategic prowess. He also explains the Loyalist cause better than anyone else. And to be honest, I would agree with him on the evils of communism and moral degeneracy. As I get older, I find myself increasingly sympathizing with Loyalism. I wish real Irish nationalists (not commie Republicans) and Ulster Loyalism could find some way of uniting. Surely Loyalists must be as disgusted with modern Britain as Irish nationalists are with the Irish state. Could there not be a United Ireland if Loyalists could be part of its government? Respecting traditional British identity and Irish self determination
