Dude, I fall asleep to these streams and remember getting SNAPPED back awake when I heard of the moldy bread topic. Thing is, if bread HAS mold, there is no "non-moldy" part. What you see of the "mold" are the caps of the fungi, and what you DON'T see are the absurdly long networks of mycelium (essentially a mushroom's equivalent of roots) intertwining throughout the entire bread. Grayfruit is due to experience a brutal, but admittedly really cool, zombification process.

Cheese mold can be removed just fine, due to how cheese and its mold works. However bread mold is different: if you see mold on your bread, it's too late. Bread mold starts INSIDE the bread, and works its way to the surface within hours, so if you see it, then that means most of the bread as mold on it, it's just not visible.

Grayfruit the mold you see on bread is only the fruiting body of the fungus if you see mold on your bread it has already saturated the entire piece, likely the loaf
