The Hindu Kush Himalaya stretches from Afghanistan in the west to China in the east. It is home to an incredible variety of plants and animals. The HKH is also home to 240 million people with a spectacular diversity of cultures and over a 1000 living languages.

As a soldier headed to Afghanistan i was able to see these majestic peaks and in my 58 years the Hindu Kush mountains are one of the most beautiful things my eyes have ever seen.
