Billy Coull alleged that he had personally written all 17 of his novels, and that AI only played a minimal role in it. We're going to be the judge of that.

Also: "Maya" is about the most cliche "non-western female character created by a lazy hack" name possible. Does she live in the Amazon? Congo? India? Borneo? China? Japan? "Maya" to the rescue! (admittedly she might also be named _Mai_ or _Mei_ in the last two, which is about as lazy but at least a bit more plausible)

Idk, I kinda like the premise. But it reminds me of something, it's on the tip of my tongue. A biohazard outbreak caused by a shady corporation, takes place in a city, needing a special cure, racing against the clock, something about evil in the residential area. Raccoons? Nope, can't think of it.

In his pursuit of 0 effort book writing. By extending a six chapter nothing burger to a 20 chapter total. Billy Accidentally created the most self-congratulatory, arrogant, repetitive and responsible never-ending epilogue ever put to paper. In a way, he accidentally created art that without meaning inspired great laughter in us all. It's still the worst book that I've ever experienced, and every last copy should be burned, and the ashes mailed directly to his address so he could dispose of his garbage himself.

Not even half of the story: about shadowy organization, outbreak, illness, trying to cure the illness outbreak (or whateber was happening) Nearly most of the story afterwards: about how achieved Emily was, useless information about how “amazing and brilliant” she was, losing the plot completely.

From what I read, and correct me if I’m wrong, GPT 3.5 only remembers ~10,000 characters-or roughly 10 pages-worth of information before it forgets what has been written. So the constant repetition is the result ChatGPT trying to continue the story based on what it remembered in the last 10 or so pages ad infinitum until Billy Coull finally put the AI out of its misery and stopped telling it to generate more story.

Much like Empress Theresa and other select works I have come across at least in review form, The Biohazard Protocol helps me stay motivated to publish my own writing. Because I don't want it to exist while my own stories remain in my head. ...but at least the likes of Empress Theresa were written by *humans* and not prompt-printed by ChatGPT, so this is easily the worst case I've seen so far.

Had to stop a few minutes in just because of that awful introductory passage. Obviously nobody thought to teach ChatGPT one very simple rule of narration: "Show, don't tell." The beginning is just so bland and horrible to listen to. Leaving a like just because you took the time out to read it so we don't have to!
@___von___7377
@___von___7377 4 ай бұрын
It’s not entirely the AI’s fault, to be fair. ChatGPT can definitely create responses that utilise “show, don’t tell” if you _prompt_ it to. Apparently, Billy’s prompt was just that bare bones and lacklustre, that the AI had to cobble together _something_ based on the minimal instructions Billy gave it.

Okay so I had to stop last night so I could cook and I am back. This feels like the type of shit I'd spit out in high school for a class I didn't like. I'd make my point and have three pages left so I'd just keep saying shit. Makes me wonder if this is a Mechanical Turk situation where there is no AI, but instead a bored teenager who would rather be listening to the latest Twenty One Pilots or Paramore album than write a book about a scientist. I have evolved as a writer since then. I hope Chat GPT does not.
