If you don't want to wait on it, you get what they have. Some colors though, are very limited. Say you want a certain pink, they make a special color of that type pink, maybe 1 or 2 and that's it. That's why If you were to purchase that particular pink (which is limited by "who you are") it's a rare handbag. Everyone that's wants it knows only a few get to own it, which triples the value. If imade any sense. I Hope I explained it right . . .

You'd be surprised how many celebs carry replicas. There is a famous replica boutique in Turkey that has pictures of Kate Moss and Khloe Kardashian shopping there. I am sure they do own the real deal, but why would you carry something that expensive as your day-to-day bag when you can just carry the fake and leave the real deal safe at home?

That's a good plan because at the end of the day it's really hard to tell if a bag is fake unless the stitching is really bad or unless you're trained to be able to tell if a bag is bigger or not. Don't buy the Hermes hype. Their bags are well made but there are other houses that are making the same quality product for much less. When you buy a Birkin you are buying a status symbol- the brand.Hermes owns most of the crocodile tanneries so they control the prices. Demand has dropped- there is a surplus of skins & still charge ridiculous amounts. Each crocodile costs about $100 - Idc how much hand stitching Hermes puts into their bags ( a few hours worth) it's not worth the $20k markup!
