My aunt experienced this with one of her horses vet said she didn't catch well around Christmas I think a week before my uncle came home to feed the horses and there was a little foal beside Tess Tess is the same color as Peach but more darker with darker mane

@@HanEquestrian got lucky there. Some very young mares just don't have the maternal instinct...also, paddock birth is MUCH safer ( more room) than stall unless 24hr staff is available.

Horses are very clever on waiting until no-one is around to birth their babies. Also with a storm coming the barometric pressure drops and very often pregnant mammals due to deliver will have their water break and go into labor. As a former OB nurse of 30 years, it was amazing at how many women would show up at the hospital. Lovely horses. Be Blessed!

My mare foaled during a "thundersnow" this year; vet told me that it's common for mares to foal just-before, during, or immediately-following storms because of the changes in atmospheric pressures.

Peach is such a good mum for being a maiden mare. And, OMG!! Can you simply say GORGEOUS FOAL!! And you just might have a dressage/sport after all. Just going on how the foal was in the stable. And again outside, she really has a lovely trot and canter. I handle foaling, if any mares are pregnant and at the barn close to me. The owners will ask for me, because of my experience with whatever in regards to the foal and mare. Be it a hind legs birth (breech) to a Red Bag Delivery and everything in between. Right now I have 2 that I'm starting as 3 yr Olds. I watched their mothers foal them, and because of my slight frame, the owners have asked me to start them under saddle. As I’m watching this, I have tears in my eyes because my little baby is due in June 2020 and I can’t wait for my perfect unicorn. TicTac was super cute as a newborn ^_^. Your story of missing the birth is something that happened to me in school. The mare I was watching was having her first foal. She didn’t show the typical signs that it was going to happen then, when I went watching her at 1:00. I came back at 5:00 and there it was, a little Bambi in the stall 😂😂😂

Watch “Versatile Horsemanship” if you get a free moment, her horse just had a colt, probably close to the age of your adorable little one. They had lots of problems with him although he’s doing better now. At one time they thought the little guy may have to be put down, but thank God he is so much better. I love how Peach watches over her colt, excellent mom. Thanks for the fun video and congratulations!

I waited exactly 1 year for my mare to foal it was my first time ever owning a foal ( it was her 5th baby) and I went out every two hours until she had the baby so I wouldn’t miss the birth and somehow I MISSED IT! but hopefully I will be able to convince my parents to let me breed her again

We checked my mare every two hours 10 pm, midnight , 2 am, 4 am, 6 am. No foal. At 7:15 we got a call from the stables telling us we had a foal on the ground already. We have pictures of the birth, that someone ELSE took.

Mares can be so sneaky! I was a working student for a while and was helping with foal watch. We were doing night shifts for 4 days with no luck so I decided to go home for a quick shower and to get some clean clothes. Mare had foal in the 45 minutes that I was gone! Thank you for sharing Tic Tac's first few days with us, she was (and is) soooo gorgeous!

We always let our mares and foals our in there first If you case of life because all the organs get squished up from having a baby inside of them it is good for them to run that everything falls back into place

The sire is the brother of Peach. They were in the same pasture and got her preggers. This was mentioned in the earlier video where she talked about discovering Peaches was pregnant.
