This year, both the PSUs did not allow dualites to appear for their tests. But this should change in the future, once they get more and more familiar with the dual degree system over the course of the next few years.

@everythingbitsatfromabitsi3415 жыл бұрын
If one extra year of fee and effort is not an issue for you, the dual can be a good option, as landing circuit branches and mech as duals is fairly easy. You can take a look at the campus selection video I posted earlier, where I mention some advantages of circuit branches in Pilani.
@divyanshushankar81344 жыл бұрын
Go for EEE/ECE/ ENI at goa/hyd. No need to waste one year for Pilani campus and there also, it is not guaranteed which branch you will get. Practice programming from first year itself if you want to get a good job. Nearly all companies allow EEE/ECE/ ENI to sit for IT placements.

Brother everyone are telling to take M.Sc eco but I am not understanding why to take it .....how come MSC eco + B.E CSE is a gr8 combination.. I am willing to.take physics but everyone are telling to take ECO what should I do I scored 318 marks in BITSAT 2019
@everythingbitsatfromabitsi3415 жыл бұрын
Hello Sai, thank you for taking the right approach to things and not believing everything that you are told. This is a very good question. So people say Eco is better than Physics because primarily Eco is supposed to be a bit lighter as an MSc. But I still know people who took Eco for this reason and then hated it later on because it did not interest them. So interest comes first, I would say. Just research well as to what constitutes college physics because it might be a bit different from what you have already done. Another reason is that Eco might provide some placement opportunities of its own. But that is not enough of an advantage to study something you don't want to study for 4 years, and it also assumes that you are interested enough in Eco to work in that field. Combination wise, there will be as much opportunity in Phys + CS as there would be in Eco + CS, I assure you (this is mainly about research opportunity, as placements depend only on BE only, so combinations would matter only in research). If you are not a dropper then taking Physics would make you eligible for the INSPIRE scholarship, which will not be the case in Eco. With all this in mind you can take a decision.

@everythingbitsatfromabitsi3415 жыл бұрын
Well I can tell you that a CGPA above 8.5 will be very safe to get CS as a dual. I have detailed the steps to manage a 9+ CG here from my personal experience. kzbin.info/www/bejne/hHXdnWt9r9OCbJo The clubs and departments depend on the individual. If you can manage everything that is mentioned in the above video while devoting time to some clubs and departments, then by all means go for them. @everythingbitsatfromabitsi3415 жыл бұрын
Mech is not hard to land as a dual. Very minimal effort towards your exams will land you mech. So if you are okay with the extra fee and extra effort, even dual is not a bad choice. I would however recommend dual because of a different reason. In a dual you get to experience basic courses of all branches in the first year. Thus you can make an informed guess at the end of the first year as to what BE you find best. Before joining BITS, I took up a dual with the intention of going for Mech as a BE. But by the end of the first year, I found that CS suits me much better, and I am thankful to the dual system to this day because of that.

Hey, would really appreciate some advice on what college to pick ;my options are RV (best college in bangalore) IT or a dual degree at bits goa. Is this ture?? Everyone I've spoken to has told me that they get p much the same preference as the btech students of their degree are. Please let me know I've to take a decision soon. Any advice is appreciated.

Dual degree and single degree placements are the same. So if you are convinced about single degree placements of BITS, then you should be okay with dual degree placements as well.
@ishinigam61214 жыл бұрын
@@everythingbitsatfromabitsi341 what would your advice be regarding the options i have? the only issues i'm facing deciding bw the dual degree or cs from rv is the limited amount of time i'll get if i take a dual degree I'm guessing doing more courses and programming will become p hard and this is a must for decent placements.. I decided to take msc chem hoping this would be easier to do compared to math and phy, would this give me a little more time for other stuff and be a little less hectic? the little time and the uncertainty in the first year of a dual course are the only problems. so would you advice taking a dual or cs from a less recognized college (it is pretty good tho, obviously not the same level as bits, but almost at the same level as nit surathkal)
@everythingbitsatfromabitsi3414 жыл бұрын
See CS as a dual is the same degree with same coursework as CS as a single degree. So don't worry about that. The concern should be considering the possibility of not getting CS, that's about it. Rest all will be taken care of.

While it is true that you might not get CS, you can still get some BE. Placements usually depend on your BE, so simply math might not do much for you in that regard.
