Ugh. It reminds me of Edmund Kemper bs - the murder of his grandparents who were generously caring for him (for which he served very little time as he was a minor, also the time period had idiotic ideas about being able to “reform” minority offenders of Kemper’s level of violence), and he placated the mental health “professionals” by reading through manuals and repeating verbatim what he knew they wanted to hear). Of course once released from the useless juvenile system, he became an (in)famous serial killer who worked with the FBI in the earliest days of the criminal behavior unit (see Mindhunter Season One). He brutally murdered and desecrated his mother (her body) and her friend - in addition of course to many young women he picked up using his mother’s parking stamp as a UCSC employee to promote his “legit” status to the hesitant young women and minors (he was a SA/viciously sadistic serial killer). These murders, despite his mommy dearest-esque claims, we’re about his own anger and desire for power. He discusses this at length (unlike GSK for example Kemper LOVES LOVES LOVES hearing his own voice).

Those “behavioral camps” some people send their kids to are all out, downright torturous and any parent should be ashamed for doing that to their child. I have a close friend who was forced into one and they still have enduring trauma from the entire experience, it is horrific and often penalizes children with mental problems for exhibiting the symptoms of those problems, something they often cannot help

Although it might be possible that his grandfather was a mercy killing or perhaps his grandfather had been in on his own death and Nathan is simply sticking to the scenario that his grandfather had laid out for him to follow? This reply thread took a fast turn. I'm glad you had loving grandparents and reciprocated the love.I haven't watched the full video yet, but I've seen the actual interviews w Nathan and there seems to be something more amiss than his autism. He knows how to stay alive drifting in rough waters and how stop an interview when questions get tough, but for anything else like police interviews he blames his autism for answers that don't seem to be true or legitimate. When he is confronted w facts and details that don't match his story, he says they misunderstood him bc of his autism.
@nilesredfern79892 жыл бұрын
@@miaknig3130 honestly the stuff that convinced me was the grandpa's murder. It's actually also possible he was framed, who knows? Maybe his mom found out about the gun and took it? I sincerely doubt it though. Another thing to convince me is all the tragedies surrounding Nathan, and the disturbing choices he made while he was a young lad--like holding another kid hostage at knifepoint. There is something amiss in him. Autism does not exclude or excuse evil behavior. /:

I've been watching this all unfold on the news for years as I live in CT, and this was a great summation of the case so far. I'm not saying Connecticut deserves to be uttered in the same breath as Florida, Texas, and Ontario - but we've had some shocking crimes. Whenever I'm researching and I come across "life insurance" or "inheritance" as a factor, I used to just sing the chorus to Nelly's "Ride Wit Me" - namely, "It must be the monaaay". It goes without saying that I'm waiting for the new inheritance dance. Well done Mike.

Cheshire Murders! I moved to CT almost 10 years ago. My Dad and his wife lived here at that time. When I was thinking of relocating, they were going on a month-long trip about a month later, so it was good timing for me to stay with them and check out the area a bit with their help, learn the pets routines and meet some neighbors, and then they'd be gone a month and I'd house-sit, check out the area some more etc. They were clearing out the DVR one day before they left and had something about the Cheshire Murders. (I think Dateline but I'm not positive.) My whole family is into True Crime so my Dad's wife said, "Oh, you should watch that. It happened not far from here." I did watch it after they were gone and I was alone. Part-way in I thought: this wasn't a good idea to watch this now. 😂 They had 2 big "scary" dogs who were cuddle-muffins with the fam but barked liked crazy beasts if any stranger approached their semi-rural house. Only thing that made me feel safe there! I stayed in CT but moved to a more populated area. Rural or even suburban life is not for me! I still might get murdered where I am but at least my neighbors will hear me screaming. So I'll have a chance. ? 😀 Since then there's also been the Jennifer Dulos case. I agree we're flying under the radar that there are a few too many crazy murders here!

There's a case of a missing female fire fighter in Brevard County named Brandy Hall that went missing in the city of Malabar. There's rumors of her death being a cover up because of a local fire chief having a marijuana growing operation and she knew too much. Something about a love triangle. It would be cool if you put a spot light on that. There's been so many signs "where's bandy?" in the most random places. For years. Someone knows something. It's really sad. Recently, they attempted a dig up of the lake where they presumed her truck with her body was dumped but a detective said that they believe the local police didn't have the equipment to dig deep enough. In my County, or state rather (Florida go figure) finding accidental deaths in retention ponds is very common. This, however, was not an accident. Listening to him in interviews makes me chuckle, his speech patterns are like mine when I was younger. "It must have been terrifying!" "yes." Also, there is a stereotype that people on the spectrum cannot lie/have trouble lying. That definitely isn't true. Because a lot of them rehearse their responses to potential conversations in their head, some get very good at it, and have no trouble with sticking to a story. Having a monotone voice and not making direct eye contact also throws off a lot of people's radars. They'll assume that person is shy/timid and often drop their guard. Having deficiencies in empathy can also lead to pathological lying if it is logical in their head. Just because people with autism are logic-based, does not mean they are infallible or cannot lie.
@no_peace2 жыл бұрын
Those things, like monotone voice and different eye contact (stereotypes, not diagnostic criteria) are usually used against us. If we get away with lying it's because of ableism, because people think we aren't competent or all there
