In Eureka, Utah, two teens were deeply in love, Breezy Otteson and Riley Powell. One day, right before New Years 2017, they disappeared when driving home. The search was on in the vast wilderness and countless mineshaft, until a guilt ridden person confesses that a monster was among them.

I’m sorry you lost your friend Breezy. It’s a heartbreaking story. It is maddening and unfortunate that the evil blob of flesh jerad, and his pos accomplice, Morgan, weren’t given the same treatment they perpetrated on those two beautiful young adults Breezy and Riley. The death penalty was created for malignant killers like jerad. It is disgusting that morgan was not arrested and jailed for a long time. During her testimony she did not seem affected one bit by the violent and tragic deaths of Riley and Breezy.

Imagine being so insecure as a 41 year old man that seeing your girlfriend hanging out with a teenage couple enrages you to the point of murdering them. Also, imagine being so calloused as an older woman that you follow along and watch your p.o.s. boyfriend do this to the young couple and never try to stop him or do the right thing. Insane.

Stop IN to say hello to a friend? If they met online and just chatted on Facebook before that day and would meet in person for the first time that day, just because Facebook calls that "friend" does not really mean you are yet friends and we get that old lesson that meeting someone in person for the first time better and safer not be in their home. And before visiting a new friend at their home, we better have some more idea of who they live with, be it boyfriend/girlfriend, mate, or family, and what their attitude would be on the visit.

The way he makes you laugh? Aww such a sycophantic comment and yet Mike still hasn't given you a little heart yet. Don't worry I am sure he will. "we love how you show respect to the victims but still make us laugh each and every week" Respecting them how? By disparaging the communities they grew up in and referring to their towns as "ghost towns" @ 0:18 ? "It's a ghost town, and that name will certainly be fitting in all the ways you know I mean" Is that the respect for the victims you refer to? That chapter does what is does and is successful in doing it. I have no problem with that at all, but the vomit inducing, self centred, sycophancy that gets posted in the comments highlights the absolute worst of the blinkered, virtue signalling society that we live in.

We're only human besides, not everyone can have strength, or survival skills to keep you from winding up in a similar situation. My point is, victims don't plan to become victims, you can still have your retribution, but that shouldn't keep us from practicing empathy from time to time. If I'd have gone through a similar situation to this case, I can't guarantee I'd be able to find much empathy either. Sorry for hijacking your comment just thought I'd share some perspective.

Dude. Keep doing what you are doing. You just keep getting better and better at it. This one was particularly heartbreaking, but you seem to have this way of delivery that tells a story with respect, and that's really good. In particular, I was really impressed with how you handled the story of the girl who went missing at the Cecil hotel. I felt like you covered all the key points shared in the Netflix series in about 20 minutes, with a lot of respect for her, which I appreciated. Also, you should check out Kip Kinkel's story if you haven't yet. I grew up with that family and wow, did the system fail that kid, and his parents. AND his sister who had to pick up the pieces later. (I went to high school with her, and their father was my Spanish teacher.)

The sick part is that she was in on all of it, me and the rest of our family have talked, and we know in our hearts that she lead them to him, he had told her specifically not to bring another male back to their house with her, and she did, knowing what he would do, keep in mind this man already had a dangerous history and she had a history too, Utah does a good job on hiding crucial details.

To be fair, this is one instance where it's not really the justice system being corrupt. She took a plea deal. She certainly got more freedom than she deserves, but if it got her to talk when she was the only living witness, it's the best they could do. I imagine if they didn't convince her to talk, they'd have been unable to even get *him* due to the limited evidence at that point, and one confirmed murderer in prison with a freed accomplice is better than neither being in prison. I agree that she deserves to be in prison too, though. They're both horrible.
