I still have the Chris Gains CD and love all the songs on that CD. The song writer for the Chris Gains CD. It reminds me of David Bowie when I was a kid and he did the same thing when David Bowie had his alter ego Ziggy pop!! My mom had both albums. I actually liked the idea that he had an alter ego and would have really liked to see what could have been with the movie, not so much with him as a lead character playing the character when the original album was released, but maybe him as Chris Gaines drops from public life, and merges into an older character that Garth could play as a retired artist living outside of the lime lite, maybe have someone like Tanor Egerton, however you spell his name, playing Chris Gaines. I think it’s really sad how the country music audience treated Garth for this. Like, it was clear that he wanted to be able to make music of different kinds. But he knew that as Garth brooks, he couldn’t release music that wasn’t country because people wouldn’t except that. So he created the Chris Gaines character so that he could explore other music. So that he could create some alternative rock music that he wanted to explore. And the fact that people wouldn’t let him get out of the country music box, that’s really kind of sad. I think if you’d of been in this year and trade it, I think more people would have accepted it, but at the time people just didn’t understand
