Atlanta United fan here. After the Japanese teaser animation was released by our club and all the supporters were speculating it might be Kyogo, journalist J Sam Jones tweeted "It's not Kyogo (yet)" leading us to believe some sort of tentative deal has been reached and he will still arrive this window. Our best guess is that you guys are not willing to release him until after CL group stage is over and you can bring in a replacement. That's where our speculation stands (although we accept we could be totally wrong too). As for how and why MLS released the erroneous report, can we just blame it on an intern and continue to believe MLS is a right proper league? Congrats on Celtic going 15 points clear and grinding towards the CL knock out stages! Good luck and godspeed!

I can recall about 15 years ago when almost every newspaper in North America reported that (iirc) Seattle Sounders were negotiating to sign Masayuki Yanagisawa for around 1.5 million US$. This seemed mind-boggling, since Masayuki Yanagisawa was a mediocre midfielder who played for Tokyo Verdy in the J2. It turned out that the player they wanted was Atsushi Yanagisawa - then playing for Messina in Serie A. Somebody must have searched for a footballer named Yanagisawa and got the wrong one . . . and without any attempt to fact-check, every newspaper in the country printed the same mistake. Masayuki somehow used the publicity to get an offer for a TV commercial (good for him) despite being famous only for the fact that he wasnt the right Yanagisawa

The problem we face is the tight spaces in which our strikers have to work in. By the time big Idah knocks the ball down one of their defenders has booted it up the park. The only striker I have saw who can score in packed goalmouths is Poland's Lewandowski. His quick feet cushion the ball and shoot on goals in two seconds. Can't see big slow Idah matching that.

He sits in the middle of the park passing backwards sidewards .the goals have completely dried up . He missed a game and the team functioned perfectly.
