You should also get into Love Nikki lore. There's a war between modern Russia and basic fantasy western european kingdom. There's also a technological country with robots and cyborgs. One of the main characters got killed brutally. All of these happened in a p2w dress up game.

As a person who's been playing Merge Mansion for years, I don't care about the story at all. I find the cleaning of the island you do so satisfying. And I love finding out what the "next merge" is. It's a skinner box, I know it is, but it's the only fremium game that has stayed on my phone for as long as it has. There's just something about it. The lore is wild, though.
