It is alas but a dream, the situation is exactly the same here in EU. Cost aside, Sega doesn't even allow online use of the cabs outside of Japan. You'd have to trick it and modify it to store player data locally, whis is prone to error risk. Not to mention the cardmaker and everything, to make it worth it for the business they would have to charge a lot of money, in turn making it unlikely for people to spend much money.
@Daan_KnobboutАй бұрын
Extra note, a childrens fair house arcade here had a few nice games. Like Outrun 2 but they charged 2$\€ per play. Also the children messed up the steering wheel and chair in a matter of months. Music was inaudible as they would rather have the ticket machines make noise.

As someone who lived in Japan for a couple years, you aren't kidding about the sensory overload in Japanese arcades. Dancerush Stardom is one of my favorite arcade ever. Instead of 4-way or 8-way arrows, it's an entire LED light-up panel beneath your feet. Instead of grabbing onto a bar behind you and go crazy with your feet, you'll have to use your entire body to balance yourself doing crazy (or not-so crazy) flares, did I mention that you'll literally have to jump and learn the shuffle dance moves to actually play the game? It's a place where you can go crazy and not worry about getting a full combo. The point of DDR is hitting those arrows, the point of Dancerush is to look *cool as fuck* which the LED will help alot even if you don't know any dance moves, heck even the "notes" which has Left and Right indications on it, are completely the same, meaning you can hit the Left foot note with your right, your knee, your hand, even your face, as long as it register. Encourage you to go "wild" come up with your own flare, add some spinning, break dancing... whatever you like. It's not an arcade, it's more like a stage. Which is why I like it so much. If you even get to chance to try one, go for it!

In Sydney we are finally starting to have competitive arcades... only in the city CBD. and i live in the suburbs. sigh... i guess in my area arcades are for kids, i'll have to hold on to the dream of learning how to dance via drs

Wondering if there'll be a combination between rhythm games and flight simulation games... Imagine yourself strapped in a movable seat driven by a multi-axis computerized servo motion platform and facing a console sort of like Ongeki or Sound Voltex. As the music begins, you feel strong G-forces of acceleration and subtle thumpy feedback corresponding to bass notes. The virtual "vehicle" goes through different curves and loops on the chart, all accompanied with bodily feeling of simulated centrifugal force. Hitting notes perfectly ensure a smooth and speedy ride, while erroneous operations result in bumps, jolts, falls or even a simulated crash.

I wanted to like your video, but I realized I already did it. You are my favorite youtuber to watch on Ketamine.

Shame this video doesn't have more attention, it's one of my favorites on KZbin and I come back to watch it every now and then. Have you considered going back to shoot a sequel to cover more rhythm games?
