I recently started reading his books and researching him hes awesome. There is a lot of cool golden age characters the world doesn't know about like Black Terror,Daredevil(Bart Hill),Miss Masque,Figthing Yank,Man of War(I read Malibu Comics version ),etc Honestly I d love a movie or show featuring these forgotten characters. Black Bat can have an amazon or netflix show

@@ComicgeddonTV​​⁠The Black Bat was created first but the character did not have the costume that resembles Batman or an origin story until his second version in July of 1939 which obviously was after Batman and was likely inspired by Batman. As much as Batman is heavily inspired by the Shadow, The Phantom, Dracula and Zorro I doubt that the Black Bat influenced the design of Batman at all at least in terms of his appearance and I think that it was mostly the other way around because the entire character of the Black Bat was changed in 1939 after the first appearance of Batman with the second version coming out at least 2 months after detective comics #27 from what I have read however I’ve read that Detective comics #27 was actually published on March 30th of 1939 despite saying may of 1939 on the cover but I’m not entirely sure if that is true but either way it is very likely that the Black Bat was inspired by Batman and not the other way around in his second version in July of 1939.

l dont think you can claim black bat is the original batman when black bat came out a month after batman and was clearly influenced by the popularity of the batman character , the original black bat was just a dick tracy style detective .l believe bill finger stated that the bat whispers was the influence for the costume of batman .so its clear that black bat starting wearing the costume because of the popularity of batman . l think black bat is the original dare devil though , l mean they're basically the same character .:P

+St Malky actually, the original black bat still wore the mask. Also his costume actually inspired Batman's. As i mention in my video "batman's true origin" the black bat had the wrist scalips that batman is known for, before batman. Even though the second incarnation of black bat came out a month later, they were both in developement at the same time. It just took longer to release Black Bat.

I dont think black bat inspired batman's costume l think they just came up with a similar idea ,it was just parallel thinking and that the influence if there was any was the other way around ,l think the only reason people remember black bat is because of his batman resemblance , he was pretty dull and uninspired as far as late pulp heros go.

Not really, there were all sorts of "Bat-Men" running around in the 30s! Some people arguing about bat guys forget the "elephant in the room" the movie DRACULA (1931) which was HUGELY influential! And let's not forget the influence of the earlier "Dracula" play and the silent vampire movie from the 20s LONDON AFTER MIDNIGHT! Also, Kane's original Batman DID NOT wear a scalloped cape like the Black Bat but WINGS. If you wanna "blame" someone for the scalloped cape, blame Bill Finge!r

Yes and no. Kane and Finger were looking at black and white illustrations of the Black Bat's wrist flaps on his uniform; they looked like fancy gloves and Kane gave Batman similar ones. "They stole our character so we stole their gloves!" they are both quoted as having said. But on the full color covers, it was seen that BB wasn't wearing gloves at all!
