This is definitely a classic that more people should be aware of. Apparently some of the material was so horrific for the time that it was removed from the print and destroyed, but it's hard to find detailed information about this. What survives of the movie is a little over an hour long. Fortunately was remains doesn't seem choppy or incomplete.

Terrible adaptation of the Poe story, fan-flippin'-tastic movie! This is one of my favorite films from the 30s hands down. But I haven't seen The Raven yet, so it's time to fix that.
