Thank god music is alive and well, and safe in the arms of the Black Crowes.

It's hard to remember how beautiful things can be; amidst so much pain: When you hear the voice of a friend ring clear after they are long gone; that's when you know you're there.

Fred Neil Recorded his best version of this classic live in Woodstock as well, I was there at a club called The Elephant with Monte Dunn on backing guitar.

Yep. They are maturing musically.. U still have those kick ass records they made from the 90s.. But the current day crowes are seriously playing some great music.. I favor Em more now than I ever had.. U can't just keep writing the same music over and over, to be a successful artist and have a successful career u must evolve, and Chris and the gang has evolved quite beautifully, like wine.. It only gets better

Fred Neil's song is covered heartfully here. But make no mistake, the MESSAGE of love and support for FREE LIVING DOLPHINS, and our best existence being connected to and symbolized by the concept, is what we also should respect and cheer and pass around. This bunch obviously gets it, so here's hoping you will, too. Fred Neil was a free-the-dolphins activist and friend of Ric O'Barry (Dolphin Project); he passed away in the Florida Keys 20 years ago, tended to by other dolphin activist friends (mutual friends of mine).

Tim Buckley's 1969 thoughts are not so different from now. deep into the heart like the original.

Cool to see this - seemed to lumber, too slow on early chord changes, maybe they leanred it that day, not tripping. But alas, Chris doesn't quite tell this story like Fred could, but it ends on a high note jam - seems like the same approach they took on She Talks to Angels. Still like.

When the Beatles visited L.A. (Capital Records) back in '64, they were they could have any and all the records they wanted. They only wanted one LP: Fred Neil's.

"Until the Freeze is a 2009 album by blues-rock band The Black Crowes"... There was time when they were young that Black Crowes were an Hard Rock band, a fist in your face and not these mellow and sweet crooners.
